Operation: Cupid Shuffle in Effect

The morning's light filtered in through the window, and with no curtains up yet it lit up the room even more. I can't believe I stayed up all night. I quietly got out of the bed and tip toed out the room. No one was up yet and I heard Vector snoring so loud he could shake a house down. I guess I should check one thing off my bucket list; I stepped outside to watch the sun rise. 

Unlike the ruined future I had saved, I never got to see the sun rise; the sky was blocked by the black smoke from the flames. I flew up to the roof and climbed up another bit of buildings until I finally got a clear view of the roof tops and saw the light peeking over the houses and the birds started to wake and sing.  

The sky was lighting up bright blue and the clouds were light and fluffy. 'This could be the last time I see the sun rise.' I thought to myself. 

With the sun rising the city below began to come alive again people came from their houses and was on their way to work. I supposed I should get back and see if Espio and Vector is awake. Unfortunately I could care less for Charmy. I walked in seeing everyone awake now looking a bit worried. 

"Hey there he is!!" Charmy pointed at me. 

"What's going on?" I asked seeing everyone look at me. 

"We all woke up and you were gone." Espio said, "We thought you could have departed from us too soon." 

I smiled; they cared already so much for me... I didn't think I deserved so much of their heart; after all, all I did for them was move a few boxes. "Sorry... I was checking something off my bucket list." I said softly watching Espio. 

They all frowned, "Hey now don't talk that way! We haven't even started!" Vector roared and stopped his foot, "We'll formulate a plan over breakfast! Come on everyone lets go to the International House of Pancakes!!" 

"Hmm? That sounds familiar." I scratched my head, "ah yes, in the future the restaurant was dubbed 'IHOP', it makes it a lot easier to say." I followed after them. 

"No kidding? Genius!" Vector said scratching his chin, "you know we can open a fortune telling business with you kid! We'll be millionaires in no time!" 

"Wow great idea Vector!" Charmy said at his side. 

"Although I'd be skeptic about it, it does seem like a good idea if we kept Silver around. But using a friend to make money isn't the best level to stoop too." Espio reminded. 

"Also the future changes all the time... I don't think it would be safe." I shook my head. 

"But this does give me an idea!" Vector stuck a finger in the air, "our first plan in operation Cupid shuffle, will be a fortune telling booth!!" 

"What?!" I yelped, didn't I just say it wouldn't be safe?!?

"Of course! Amy loves that kind of stuff!" Vector turned to me, "Shadow will probably walk on by like it’s not even there but at least we can take on one of our targets! No time for breakfast boys! We have work to do!" Vector stopped in his place and took out a notepad, "Espio go pick out a blue print for a simple and cheap booth, but try and make it believable. Charmy, after Espio gets the blue print, you and silver get the building supplies, silver make sure he gets only the supplies and nothing else got it?" He looked at me. 

I nodded quickly the pressure of this 'operation' just got real serious even if it was for something a little crazy. 

"I'll go get the decorations, I know someone who can whip up good cloth and designs in no time, and that someone is Vanilla the rabbit, and it is a good excuse to go visit my secret crush!" He added and scribbled on the paper with a bright smile. "Okay everyone let’s do this!!"
