Chapter 17:
"Well, that's not very nice is it Blue?", Draven teased. She tried keeping her half-opened eyes on him. He pulled a chair right in front of hers, the legs of it scratching the floor sharply from his fast and rough movements. He sat on it, letting his knees touch hers. She tried moving away, but she couldn't. She shuffled in her seat out of frustration. Draven placed his hands on her thighs, "Shush sweetheart, you know that you're not going anywhere so why bother?", he said with serious eyes. By now, she was almost fully awake, "When they find you, they'll kill you..", she said looking back at him. He laughed softly, "I have to admit, I do love your confidence...", he said as he stood up, "But the fact is they're not here, so I'm giving you one chance". She looked at him confused, "Blue I'm giving you the chance to give your magic to me. No one has to get hurt. No one. Not your Dad, not your village, not Spyro, and not your little boyfriend...", he said with confidence.

She looked down, "No...", she whispered. "What..?", he asked visibly annoyed. She looked up at him, straight in the eye, "I said no. I will never give power to someone like you. Never...you're insane. There's no telling what you'd do. Threaten them all you want, because Draven...I will fight. I will fight you for them. I will protect them using the magic you crave so badly. And I won't stop, I'll fight until my last breath. You can't stop me. You won't", he cut her off by slapping her harshly across the face. She slowly turned her face to look at him again, unbothered. He grabbed a fist full of her hair from the back of her head and pulled it back, he got right up in her face, "No Blue, you're the one who won't win. And do you wanna know why? Because you are full of emotion! You care about too many people! Me? I don't care who gets caught in the cross fire! I am going to break you down, tear you apart, find every weakness until there's nothing left!!", he let go and shoved her roughly. He walked away, toward a table in the dimly lit room.

"Where could they possibly be?", Seán asked the group. "We need to think about this, there's no room for error", Loki said sternly. "I might be of some assistance", said a voice. The group all turned to the direction of the voice behind them. "Dad!", Spyro ran to Eon to hug him. "How did you find us? Wait that doesn't matter..there's this wack job named Draven and he's taken Blue!", Spyro said panicked. Eon nodded, "I am aware of this, I have been using my magic to check in on you guys and when I sensed something had gone wrong, I made my way out here", Eon explained calmly. Loki stepped forward, "Can you find her? With your magic?", he asked. Eon nodded. "Um can someone explain who this is?", Conal asked walking towards Eon. "I am Blue's father and I am here to help", he said. Conal got very close to him and puffed out his chest a little, "No, I am Blue's father", he said trying to sound confident. Eon looked at him unphased, "Where were you for nineteen years?", he asked blankly. Conal's eyes went wide, and he turned around to look at the group. Seamus shrugged his shoulders. Conal turned back to Eon, "My daughter was taken from me. Nineteen years ago. I couldn't find her", he explained. Eon took a deep breath, "We don't have time for this, we need to find her. Before it's too late". Spyro watched as his father attempted to locate Blue using his power. Every second that passed, he only became more worried.

Blue watched Draven as he stood at the table in the corner. She moved her wrists trying to figure out what she was tied up with. "Now sweetheart, we are going to relieve you of your duties to your magic. It will burden you no more", Draven said as he pulled a knife from the table. Blue's eyes widened slightly when she saw his weapon. "But first, we are going to have some fun. I hope your boyfriend won't mind", he laughed. She rolled her eyes, "God Draven, you really don't get it do you? You won't win", she said as she pulled on her restraints, using her magic to break free. He stumbled backward, his eyes widened, "How did you...?", she cut him off. "I'm not surrendering Draven, not for a second", she stunned him with a blast of her magic and ran outside where she took to the skies in her dragon form. She had no idea where she was, but she had to get away from him either way.

"It's not working..", Eon sighed regrettably. "We should return to the village. Regroup. Figure out our next step", Conal suggested. Eon and Blue's uncles nodded slowly, agreeing. They began to make their way back, returning within the hour. They all sat in Conal's house, trying to think up a plan to get Blue back. Loki turned to Spyro, "Let's go upstairs", he whispered before leaving. Spyro arched a brow, but followed. They went into Blue's room, "Listen Loki, before you say anything. I thought you were into my sister", Spyro joked. Loki rolled his eyes, "Look. They are going to take forever to come up with a plan...we don't have that kind of time", he explained. Spyro smirked, "So we rescue her ourselves?", he asked. Loki nodded. "Well gotta say Loki, I know you aren't the brightest but that is by far the most idiotic plan you've come up with", Spyro said walking out the door. "So you don't want to rescue your sister?", he called after him. Spyro turned back to him, "Of course I do! But it won't work. You know why? Because we can't work together. It'll be a disaster, and we'll end up getting Blue killed!", he turned to leave again. "Spyro wait", Loki said sternly. Spyro stopped. "You have to help. Because I'm going with, or without you". Spyro turned to him, "Why..?", Loki hesitated to answer. "Because...because I...I love her...", he admitted looking him dead in the eye. Spyro took a deep breath, "So where do we look first?"Loki smiled, "We go back to that cave. Retrace your steps". The two snuck outside, leaving Blue's family to formulate a plan.

Blue didn't look back. She flew through a harsh storm in an unknown direction, her only goal was widening the gap between her and Draven. She saw a light amongst the dark, heavy clouds, and flew towards it. She emerged from the clouds, and the rain stopped. The light around her was glary, making it difficult to see. When her vision adjusted to the light, what she saw was astounding. Full, tall green trees, covered in a gentle mist. Flocks of birds flying low over the tree tops. Tall mountains, their tops hidden away in the clouds, with waterfalls carving into their sides, creating rainbows in the mist. She landed on a thick, and high tree branch, not a clearing in sight. The branch over looked the vast forest. She switched back into her human form to admire the land she had stumbled upon. "Where the hell am I?", she asked herself.

Loki and Spyro arrived at the cave where Blue had been taken. "Look around, we can't miss anything", Loki said impatiently. "Draven...as annoying as he is..is smart. He wouldn't have left any clues unless he wanted us to find her", Spyro explained, although still searching the cave. Loki bent to one knee, touching the sparkling black dust that lay on the cave floor. "This is dark magic...is this what he knocked her out with?", he asked Spyro. Spyro only nodded. "He could be anywhere...she could be anywhere", Loki said sounding defeated. Spyro looked at him with pity for a second, then shook his head, "You wanted to look for her. We've only just started and your already giving up....I can't work with you if you're going to be like this...", he said, trying to sound stern. Loki looked at him with a blank expression. "Oh come on Loki! Ever hear of hope?", Spyro encouraged him. Loki turned away, "I haven't known hope for a very long time..", he said bluntly. Spyro felt for him, but he wouldn't let that show. Loki was about to speak when Spyro shoved past him, "Did you hear that?", he said suddenly. "Hear what?", Loki asked. "It sounds familiar, come on lets follow it", he said quickly. Loki looked at him confused as Spyro waited for him to get on his back, "Ugh come on Loki, we don't have all day. Ride me, oh gracious prince", Spyro mocked. Loki rolled his eyes, but climbed on his back, "You know Spyro, if you fancy yourself a prince, just admit it", Loki mocked back. Between the bickering, they had taken off in search of the source of sound, only Spyro had heard.
