Chapter 14:
Blue woke up, her body stiff from a long night sleep, something she hadn't had in a while. She stretched her arms and legs. She turned her head to see Loki, sound asleep, his arm resting over her stomach. Smiling softly, admiring his facial features, she thought it best to get dressed. When she was dressed, she looked out the small window, the village already buzzing. People going about their day, the sun shining brightly. It was almost perfect, yet in the back of her mind, Draven was still out there. He made some serious threats, she, Loki and Spyro were in danger. She walked down the small rugged stairs, finding her father sat at the kitchen table. "Morning Conal", she said softly. He turned and smiled, "Morning sweetheart...how did you and your boyfriend sleep?", he asked innocently. She laughed awkwardly, "He isn't my boyfriend Dad!" Conal paused, then looked up at her from the table, "Dad...?", he said, almost asking her if she meant it, or just said it by accident. She paused for a second, then smiled, "Well you are my Dad", she said shyly. Conal got up from his seat, walked over to her and hugged her, "I never thought I'd get to hear you say that...", he said then pulling away from her. "I'm going to go for a walk Dad, maybe practise with my bow...I'll be back soon though", she smiled making her way to the door. "Oh do hurry back, I have a couple of people I'd like you to meet", he said simply before she left.
She made her way to the woods, mostly to prevent shooting anyone with an arrow by accident. After finding a good tree, she set her arrows down, making herself a suitable target. Pulling back the string of her bow, a perfect shot. She heard clapping, slow clapping. She smiled and thought 'Loki..', she turned, 'NO NOT LOKI', she aimed her arrow straight at him, "Oh please no Blue, don't shoot! It's just little old me afterall...", he teased. "What the hell do you want Draven?! How did you find me?!", she asked impatiently. He chuckled to himself, "You're home honey....you made it quite easy...", he tried belittling her. "This village has magic...only people from here can find it..", she said sternly, still holding her bow in position. "You're not wrong. I see you found daddy dearest.....Conal the Coward". She almost let the arrow loose, "How do you know his name? He isn't a coward...he's the chief of this village. He will have you hunted down and killed so you might want to give up this fantasy you have of taking my magic now or else", she stood her ground, but shaking none the less. "Oh I know all too well who's in charge of this damn place. Your father is far from brave...I mean think about it Blue. He let that dragon take you, he didn't look so hard for your mother...and don't even get me started on how he closed this village off from the outside world once things got a little sticky...", he explained. Blue gave him a confused look,"How do you know all of this...tell me or I shoot you!", she shouted.
He walked straight up to her, using his dark magic to disarm her. "I'm from this damn village. You and I, we were born on the same night", he grabbed her wrist aggressively, "You took my magic. We were both born under the sacred blue moon...only happens every one thousand years...they say...I was born too early, and you got the magic", he twisted her wrist earning a moan filled with pain from her throat, "You took the magic. The magic I was supposed to have. And I will have it, I promise you that", he threatened. She twisted out of his grip and knocked him back with a powerful blast of magic. "I was a baby! I didn't ask for this!", she said angrily, holding out her hands. He got up, wiping away blood from the side of his mouth, looking at her with dark eyes. "I spent years trying to control it! Hurting innocent people by accident! No sane person should want this...which makes me think I got it for a reason, and you didn't", she recalled painfully. He walked closer to her, a smirk plastered across his face, "And what reason would that be beautiful", he taunted. "You crave it. Power. And that can never be a good thing. You've clearly spent years, obsessing over me, wanting the power for yourself, learning about me...it's sad Draven", she said in an attempt to end it. He just started laughing, he sounded insane. "OH BLUE!! You really have no idea.....I have dreamed of just you...and me...together. As I try every single way possible, to extract that precious gift from your body. There are so many ways we can try...I could hurt you, beat it out of you......fuck...it out of you..", he smirked at his last suggestion, "if it's so awful....let me try take it Blue...let me relieve you...", he said getting closer. "No", she said sternly. "No?", he questioned. "People like you Draven...people like you shouldn't be anywhere near magic...", she stated.
He nodded, biting his lip. "Kidnap you it is", he said lugging at her. She dodged him blasting him with magic again. She knocked him down, and she began running as fast as her legs would take her back to the village. He got up and shouted after her, not attempting to catch her, "The end is near my love! There's no escaping destiny", with that he used his magic to disappear. Blue still racing towards the village, not looking back once. But she heard what he said. She heard it loud and clear. She ran back to the house, pushing the door open, only to find Conal and two other men sitting in the living space. Loki and Spyro stood in front of the fire place. Blue walked in, out of breath. "Blue were you running, you seem out of breath?", Spyro asked. "I'm okay...", she said breathlessly. Conal stood up, and big smile on his face, "Blue, these are your uncles, Seán and Seamus". The two men stood up. "I have uncles...?", Blue said slightly shocked. "I would've introduced you sooner, I just didn't want to overwhelm you..", he said assuring her. Seán was the second oldest after Conal, he had gone grey before the others, but still had a brown tint to his short, neatly kept hair. He was tall but not as tall as Conal, and he was physically fit like the other two. He had green blue eyes and a friendly smile, "It's so nice to finally meet you Blue, I'm Seán", he said happily. Blue put out her hand for him to shake. He scoffed playfully, "Ah go away out of that, come here", he said jokingly as he pulled her into a hug. Blue just went with it. Seamus was the youngest and shortest, yet still tall out of the three. He had brown curly hair and green eyes, his face screamed schoolboy mischieve. He smiled, pulling her into a hug, putting on a funny fake cry, "OH MY NIECE!!WOULD YA JUST LOOK AT HER?!ISN'T SHE JUST LOVELY?", he shouted hysterically, earning a laugh from everyone. He pulled away from her, "Hi I'm Seamus", he said bluntly, but smiled soon after. "It's so nice to meet both of you...I didn't know I had more family..", she said shyly.
"But Dad I need to talk to you, Loki, Spyro, Draven is back. He just attacked me in the woods". "Draven...", Conal said almost under his breath. Seán and Seamus gave each other a worried look. "You know him Dad. Don't you?", Blue asked sternly. Conal sighed, "Draven was born here, grew up here. But after his parents told him the story of you and him being born on the same night....that he could've had magic....he took a turn for the worst. He studied all he could about your magic. He obsessed over you. I hated seeing someone obsessing over my daughter....my daughter that wasn't even with me. So I banished him from the village when he was old enough to fend for himself", Conal explained. Blue took a step towards her father, "What do you know about his magic..?", she asked. Seán spoke up, "After Draven found out about the circumstances of his birth, he trained himself, taught himself the dark arts. His magic is dark, filled with rage and hatred. It's driven by an evil goal. He used to practise it in the forests of the village...his parents tried to stop him, but he only dug himself deeper...", Seán explained in an overly dramatic, harrowing tone. There was an awkward silence before Blue cleared her throat to break it, "SO....anyway...what you're telling me...is that Draven has been obsessed with this goal for years AND he knows the village like the back of his hand..?" Conal, Seán and Seamus all looked to one another then all nodded, "Yep pretty much...but I'm the Chief, I won't let him near you sweetheart", Conal said proudly. "I believe that's what you want to do. But Dad, he got to me before, just now, we don't know when he'll show up next...or what he'll do...", she explained. "So what are you suggesting Blue?", Loki asked. "We can't wait for him to come to us. We've gotta go to him", she said turning away from them. "You're not saying...?", Spyro asked nervously.
"We have to track down Draven".
