'hey! you're the lucky victim of this contest. please respond back within the time span of a week or your position will be changed ;) don't believe that it's actually yours truly? i'll be going live later today. you'll get the notification. peace out.'
"he couldn't have gotten that far." peggy sighs, turning right on the road.
"peggy we just went down this street. you're making us go in circles." maria frowns.
"i'm sorry, would you like to drive?"
"yes, actually i would. i know we'd be getting farther than we are right now."
"wait! what about the place were alexander and john first met?" peggy looks at maria through the rearview mirror.
"oh my god, you're right! let's just go catch the next flight to new york."
'alex, my legs are tired!' john whines.
'well, mine aren't.'
'because you're not using them!' he huffs, bouncing me up before continuing to walk.
'stop whining.'
'where are we going? can we please just go back to the hotel?' he pleads.
peggy rolled her eyes, knowing she was wrong. she just didn't want to hurt her pride.
"margarita, don't sass me. i'm trying to figure out where laurens is. you on the other hand, you're driving me and yourself mad."
peggy stops the car at the side of the road, then gets out of the drivers seat. maria climbs out and gets in, starting the car back up. peggy climbs into the back of the car, now holding alexander who was waking up from sleep because of his panic attack.
"what are we doing?" alexander sat up.
"looking for your asshat of a boyfriend." maria states.
"he's not an asshat, don't call him names. why are you guys so mad at him?"
"never-mind, lex. we just need to find him, okay?" maria responds.
everyone in the car fell silent, only the slight hum of the engine could be heard. they all jumped when maria's phone started ringing.
"yes, laf?"
"herc and i just checked his house. no one is there. we know that his mom is at work. she can't go out and look for him. her boss won't let her. his sisters are obviously at school."
maria chews on the inside of her cheek, not knowing what to say.
"jefferson's house!" peggy screams.
"what? why would he be there?" maria said.
"isn't that where he went after alexander supposedly broke his heart?"
"you're going to break his heart!" maria stomps her foot, chucking a pillow at me.'
"he's twenty-one, ria! he shouldn't like a porn-star like that!'' i fire back.'
"why would he go there?" alexander asks.
"no one was answering him, jefferson knew you. sexual frustration, maybe? he probably did it out of spite when he got back."
alexander frowned. he didn't like the sound of any of those things. had he really impacted john that much after he did what he did?
