I don't know what to say to that. Peggy and Maria have been interrogating me ever since I made that stupid comment. Me being me, I've been unintentionally contradicting myself the whole time they try to bring it up. We're currently at the airport, a one hour layover in play. Why I agreed to go on this trip is a really good question. I check the time, internally groaning at the fact that the last time I checked the clock it was five minutes past six o'clock in the morning. I clear my throat, regretting that decision immediately when I wake up Eliza who was asleep on my shoulder.

Why did I get with her again? She's a good fuck, but very annoying. Dating her didn't make John jealous.

Do actually I like him though?

I don't know shit anymore.

"Earth to Alexander! I'm talking to you!" Someone snaps their fingers in front of my face.

I turn my head towards the voice, scrunching my nose up before turning my face neutral.

"Hm?" I respond.

"I asked if you wanted me to get you food from that tiny cafe over there." Eliza huffs.

I shake my head before looking down at my phone. A few seconds after she leaves Maria and Peggy speed-walk over to me, demonic smiles on their faces.

"Hey, Lex! How are you?" Maria rocks back and forth on the balls of her feet.

"Cut to the chase." I tiredly rub my eyes, while saying this to her.

"Fine. You like John right?" Maria crosses her arms over her chest.

"What gave you that impression?" I fire back.

"First of all," Peggy begins. "Your recent update on a certain website you moaned someone else's name while getting fucked. Second of all, what you said yesterday gave it away. Third of all-,"

I cut her off before she could continue. "Okay, I get it! What do you need from me?" I whine.

"We want you guys together, dip-shit. But, you need to break it off with Eliza first." Peggy continues.

I scowl, slouching in my seat. This is bull-shit.

"You don't like her. It's obvious to everyone but her." Maria crosses her arms over her chest.

Before I can get a word out, Eliza comes back over with two cups of coffee and some pastry that looks like it was dropped on the floor and then put back in the glass display. She hands me one of the cups with a smile on her face.

"I said I didn't want anything."

"I know."

I sigh exasperatedly, making pleading eyes up at Maria. She takes the coffee from me and Peggy eyes it before making grabby hands. Maria rolls her eyes and hands it to her.

"You guys can go now." I say.

"This conversation isn't over." Peggy says before turning on her heel and walking away.

"What conversation?" Eliza asks after swallowing coffee.

"Nothing." I dismiss.

"Why are you two staring at me!?" I yell, throwing my hands up in the air.

I draw the attention of a small family that simply guides their children in the opposite direction.

"Who pissed in your cornflakes?" Maria squints.

"I don't eat cornflakes."

"John, shut up. You know what she meant." Peggy slaps me in the back of my head.

I shake my head at her, before looking back up at the two. What do these idiots want from me? I don't know why they continue to act like this. I also don't know why they just won't tell me why they're acting the way they're acting. (listen so like my keyboard automatically makes the first letter of each word i type lowercase bc i like to think i'm quirky. if you don't enjoy seeing the first letter of a sentence not capitalized i'm sorry.) i sigh dramatically, kicking my feet like a child after i check the time. it's too early for this shit. i look outside and it's very much still dark outside. although, it's not dark enough for me not to see clouds.

a lot of clouds.

clouds that look like they carry rain, thunder, and lightning.

oh my god, please let it rain so this trip can be cancelled.

as if on cue, small droplets of rain begin falling on the building. before we even know it, it sounds like the ocean. the rain pummels down, temporarily making the lights flicker. can they make an announcement that the flight is cancelled because of turbulence and bad weather?

"flight seventeen-ninety-one to the bahamas has been cancelled due to bad weather and turbulence. we apologize for the inconvenience." a monotone lady speaks over the intercom.

you can hear a series of groans throughout the waiting area, people shuffling and grabbing their stuff, etc. i grab my bag and immediately begin to speed-walk to the exit. peggy and maria rush after me, smiles on their faces.

"why are you happy? we're not traveling anymore." i say to peggy.

"i know! but daddy has a beach house he allows us to use during all the breaks instead of traveling far and wide. so all of us are just going to go there, instead. there's four rooms so they'll be two in each since there's eight of us. don't worry, you'll be with hamilton." she winks before walking away hand in hand with maria.

i'm really not having this.

a/n: hi guys. i'm so sorry i haven't been updating. there's really no excuse, school is just been taking a toll but now i'm off for a while because of the virus and spring break. i hope you guys haven't given up on reading this book. ily guys so much. i will try to get as many updates as i can out. stay healthy and happy.
