Reagen and I were walking down the road and the chill breeze hit us. I slid my hands in my pockets and looked straight ahead. We were like three blocks away when some woman stumbled with few boxes that looked pretty heavy.

Reagen jogged to her and took over some boxes from her hand and I noticed that it suprisingly was Ashley's mom. She thanked him as he took couple more boxes from her.

I walked towards them as Reagen took the boxes and placed them down.

"Edwin, right? Ashley's friend" she recognised me right at the moment she noticed me walking towards them.

"Ashley?" Reagen glanced at both of us confusedly.

"Yes, Mrs. Corbett" I said with a small smile. His face was puzzled for a good few seconds and then realised what I meant.

"Oh, you're Ashley's mom?" He asked brightly proud of himself for finding her mom.

"I am Reagen, friend of Ashley" he inroduced cheeringly.

"Oh that's great. Do you guys live nearby? If then please visit Ashley often and inform me if she's keeping her place clean" Ashley's place? Is she moving in here? Like three blocks away from me. Ok that was some brand new information.

"Come on in. I think she will get a little cheerful if she sees her friends. She is pretty moody after all the packing" she scowled looking distant.

"Um.. no we are-" I was ruthlessly interrupted by my such-a-traitor-friend.

"Of course mam. We would love to" he immediately replied. Man stop being too desperate.

Reagen and I picked up couple boxes each and trailed behind her mom. We entered the elevator and she pressed number 13. I didn't know how I should be feeling right at that moment, I just blocked all my emotions and kept a straight face.

We entered her house and Reagen was already looking around for her . I stepped in and placed the boxes in a corner, it didn't look like a girl's classy choice yet so good. The living room was dimly lighted and looked like the cozy, incredible house which gets destroyed by the female lead when she breaks up with her boyfriend.

I stepped into the open kitchen and suddenly I was looking at a girl laying on her back on the floor, with her hands stretched wide, and her eyes closed.

"Where's my dinner?" She asked roughly without any emotions in her voice with her eyes still closed, sensing some movement around her. She really looked sulky.

"Hey" Reagen called before I could even react. She opened her eyes and looked at Reagen confusedly, then at me with anger filling the glint of kindness in her eyes. Her hands clenched and uncleaned as she jumped, standing up. She realised the presence of Reagen around me and suddenly a smile lit her face, yet it didn't look real.

"Hi. How did you–" her voice faded away and she raised her brows as her eyes focused behind me. I turned around to look at a man who was looking at us confusedly.
