I clenched my fist when I saw her with the new guy and their closeness. She was all smiley with him which irritated me much more. I turned away from them and faced Ryker who was asking me to explain why I had been mad at him.
"I am not" I told him for the hundredth time, but I was kinda mad at him for provoking Reagen.
"Your-" he started whining and I interrupted him before he could have said any more.
"Ryker Young" I paused breathing in, "LETS. NOT. START. AGAIN." I told him as I heard the car, on which I had been concentrating a few seconds before, drive off.
He sighed and immediately brightened looking at Reagen who was advancing towards us.
"I asked her out for a coffee" those were the first words after he reached us. Ryker was literally jumping up and down asking for her answer.
"She kinda said yes but she didn't look much interested though" he said shaking his head slightly.
"She would be, after your date. Anyways, where are you taking her?" Ryker asked curiously.
I seriously wanted to beat the shit out of him but this was not the first time Ryker made me feel that way.
"I am still trying to choose some decent place" he said and Ryker grinned. I didn't want to stand there listening to them, and it took a lot of resistance not to tell them that she was not interested.
My phone rang just when I opened my mouth to tell them to shut up. It was the person I loathed so much.
"Meet me" were his only words before he hung up.
I groaned and they both looked me trying to understand who called.
"Alec?" Reagen asked and Ryker made a face.
"Obviously, gonna meet him" I muttered and walked towards my car as I heard Ryker yell "careful" from behind me.
I drove to his place where he usually asks me to meet him. I turned off the ignition and closed my eyes for few seconds before I heard a knock on the window.
I looked at a bulk guy standing beside my car and he examined me for about a minute and nodded at me.
I walked in the dark place and saw a tall figure looking at me with a cruel grin. He had a new cut that slightly missed his right eye which made him look more evil.
"How's it's going?" He asked, sliding his hands into the pocket.
"Care much?" I asked and he just smiled looking like he was taking in my casual attire.
"What do you want?" I asked and noticed the gun that had been in his other hand. He was holding it upside down and it clearly said that he had just finished someone off.
He placed the gun on the table near him like he had forgot about the thing that had been in his hand a few minutes before.
"Thought you would bring Reagen with you" he said which irritated me. I held my shit together and sighed.
