I was startled with my own actions, decided against it and walked away gritting my teeth. I went straight to my room and no one noticed. I sat on the bed and regretted whatever I did. I knew she was confused and I felt extremely guilty.

I heard the door open and Ashley barged in like an enraged bull. She looked like she could stomp me anytime. And she did - not exactly stomping, she punched me right across my face, so hard. I was clearly furious but then I actually deserved that. I put my hand on my nose to see if I was bleeding but thanks to someone here, I wasn't punched hard enough to bleed. I noticed that she was rubbing her knuckles.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" She roared at me with her eyes brimming with tears and her hands clenched.

"I-" she abruptly cut me off trying so hard not to let her tears fall.

"How can I be influenced by a stupid arrogant jerk? Why do you affect me so much that I don't even know what's happening? Why do you push me back everytime I try to near you?" She paused and let all her tears out, "Am I just so terrible?" She asked softly but the sorrow in her voice was pretty obvious.

I went close and wrapped my arms around her. I felt that she was literally shaking and she leaned into my chest.

"I like you" I said and she tried to push me away but I caught her with my arms still around her.

"I wanna be with you more than anything" I paused taking a deep breath, "But you don't deserve me. You should be with a much better person" I said pulling my hands off her.

She gazed into my eyes like she didn't understand anything I had told so far. I looked away quickly unable to look at her anymore.

"What are you talking?" She asked taking a step forward. I desperately wanted to hold her and say 'nevermind' but I also knew it's now or never. I wanted to let her go as quickly I could. I took a step back silently wishing she would go away from my place.

"Look, you don't know how dangerous it is to be with me or anyone here" I said with my hands pointed down showing all the guys down there. I knew it was selfish but then the work was spontaneously dangerous.

She stared at me like I was uttering pure nonsense and I couldn't blame her cause that's what anyone would do if I was throwing out shit like that.

"I don't understand. In what way are you dangerous?" She blinked a few times and waited for me to tell her everything but I knew better.

"Go away" I said it a little harshly than I meant to but she just stood there processing everything I've told her.

"I don't care how dangerous you are" her voice broke and she was trying so hard not to break down.

"I do" I said and turned away from her.  A few silent minutes later, I heard footsteps getting lighter and lighter. I sighed and abruptly sat on my bed. I didn't know what to do now the disaster was over and I ruined the little chances of us being together.

I thought I would regret this right after ending it but for some reason, I felt calm. My heart ached for losing her but I was satisfied that I did a right thing ending us before it even started.

The door snapped open and Esmay stood there with a puzzled look. She stepped in and closed the door behind her looking at me, trying to figure out what I had done.

"Spill it" she said sighing like she was tired of me and my stupid acts.

I said everything briefly and sometimes she nodded like she understood and sometimes she looked at me like I've messed up the whole thing.

I finished the story and looked out through the see-through glass. I realized that it was raining heavily and I thought Ashley might have walked home.

"I don't like this but I actually think you did something you are now proud of" she said and looked at me like I would say something thoughtful but I kept my mouth shut unable to croak out anything.

She accompanied me silently by sitting beside me and we sat there in comfortable silence. After a few minutes, Ryker peeked through the doorway knocking so loud that I flinched.

"It's been an hour. What are you guys doing?" He asked stepping in and looking at both of us like it's weird for us to sit in silence. Esmay shrugged.

The first thought that entered my mind was, 'An hour? Wtf'. I stood up and picked out some random jacket from my wardrobe.

"Where are you going?", asked Esmay.

I looked at her like it was annoyingly obvious and she shook her head, either saying 'no' or being disappointed. Ryker looked confused and opened his mouth to ask something but I turned away from them.

I drove but it was utterly dangerous with my mind wavering to various things that happened that day. I stepped on the brake and went in the crowded rooftop-lounge bar.

"Vodka" I told the bartender and looked at the people dancing to the tune. I didn't recognize the song but it was a fast upbeat one.

He handed me my drink and I gulped it down in one shot.

"Bad day, huh?" I heard a surprisingly fine female voice from behind me and turned around. Her blonde hair and  her strangely familiar honey tanned face glowed under the lights. Her peach lipstick with her mild makeup made her look appealing. She looked at me with a blank face and her eyes didn't give away any kind of emotion.

I noticed that her tight black leather pants paired with a white crop top exposed a badass vibe. After a few seconds of checking her out, I looked straight into her eyes and she didn't hesitate to look away.

"Saying that I had a bad day would be an understatement" I said getting my vodka refill. She was sipping on her margarita while looking at me through the corner of her eyes.

I was still trying to remember from where I had seen her when she checked me out and either, I imagined she had that look saying "not bad" or she actually had that look.

"I have seen you before" I said but it sounded more like I was asking her.

"Edwin, right?" She said pushing her glass towards the bartender. He winked at her and she gave him a crooked smile.

Suddenly all of it clicked together and I heard myself saying, "Hannah".

"Finally"
