I drifted off to sleep after six hours of reading that whenever I closed my eyes, I saw letters floating around as if I was dyslexic. I had some strange dreams which I forgot as soon as I woke up. The moment I opened my eyes and strained it a little, my head felt like busting out like I was having a very bad hangover.
I felt dizzy as I took a look at my phone to see if it was dawn or dusk. I saw 37 calls from Esmay and Sua but I did not bother waking them up at this time. It was the middle of the night and I tried to remember how much hours I have been sleeping but gave up that thought as pain was almost killing me.
I walked out of the dark room and switched on the lights of the living room. I jumped up the moment I saw my couch. Not exactly my couch but, the people on it.
"Holy shit" I cried and they both sat up rubbing their eyes.
"What's with the scream? Lemme just sleep" Sua announced before falling back on the couch again.
Esmay looked concerned and I was confused why she was looking at me like that, till I realized that look of concern was directed towards me. I ignored her and walked towards Sua, making myself comfortable on the couch.
"What are you guys doing here? And how did you come in?" I asked.
"Me? Well, I am trying to sleep. And the door was wide open when we arrived" Sua said with her eyes closed. I remembered coming in but I hadn't thought I would just leave the door open. I was about to ask much when Esmay interrupted me.
"He told me everything" she said and I flinched at her words.
"I didn't know he was the type to share" I mumbled silently but if Esmay caught it, she decided to ignore it.
"Are you ok?" She placed her hand on mine.
"I am fine, seriously" I said waving her off. But I knew she wouldn't just let it go. She still looked at me with the same face waiting for me to tell more, and sighed when she decided that I wouldn't be talking any more.
"It's sweet of you guys to come here for me. Thank you, but you know, now that I am fine, you don't have to worry about me anymore-"
"Don't tell me that you're kicking us out, just when I am falling into the comfortable sleep" said Sua.
"You have been sleeping since we came in" Esmay accused but Sua was too busy sleeping.
"Alright then, you can both go rest in my room. I don't think I can sleep anymore" I said.
They both hopped in and I roamed around the kitchen looking for something to eat. I ate the leftover lasagna while watching the night view. I tried to take my mind off the devil but in vain. He had that bad-boy vibe around him with his introverted behaviour, girls swooned over his looks (can't blame them).
The first time I saw him, I might have gawked at him, but I didn't like him. I thought about how much my feelings for him changed in about six months.
