Clydes POV
Ever since we've come to the Bloodmoon territory Ive been on edge. Well, I'm always on edge but I thought finding Mia would make me feel more relaxed about things. Everything that happened, I still feel guilty. Even though I know Mia is safe from Jacksons clutch, I know there's more danger lurking around each corner. Whenever I need to get away from my thoughts, I go up on the roof of the pack house where there's a little garden and gazebo. Something about seeing the sunset and having the fresh air surround me helps me relax. Although, I'm happy I found Mia, and not only that, I found my mate in the pack that she has been residing with, with her mate.
"Clyde, baby?" I heard a voice that I haven't had bless my ears in a long time.
I sighed before I turned around to see her. My mother. She looks the same as I last saw her. Same hair style, same dress she used to wear. She hasn't aged any in the 13 years our parents have been gone. I could feel the thoughts rushing back into my head that I was desperately trying to escape. I turned my head back to look at the sunset again trying to hide the tears that was starting to build up in my eyes. I heard her footsteps coming closer to me, until she sat down looking off at the sunset with me.
"What's going on in your head, baby." She said with a soft comforting tone. Not taking her eyes off of the sunset.
"I'm surprised that you wanted to come see me.." I broke the silence.
"Why wouldn't I want to come see my only son?" She looked over at me.
"I might be your only son, but I have failed you and father." I sighed.
"How could you have possibly failed me and your father?" She placed her hand on my arm.
"Well, we could start by me not holding my promise made to father to keep Mia safe, always." I looked at her with tears in my eyes.
"Baby, you were 7 years old. You had no control over what happened with Mia's pupnapping. Me and your father don't hold a grudge for what happened." She looked at me with a concerned look in her eyes.
"i could have done more to stop Jackson from taking her.. She was legit gone before I could even get to the window." I laid my head in my hands.
"You found Mia and that's the most important thing. Stop blaming yourself. It was both your father and I's responsibility to keep you both safe. We couldn't do that for Mia, but you got out safe and you held our pack and your fathers legacy together until Mia returned safely to take over." She reassured me.
"I haven't done that great of a job with DNH. It's been really hard, they don't listen to me or take me seriously. The only help that I had was Beta Adam stepping up to help me." I sniffled.
"You did the best you could for the time being. You weren't born to lead this pack Clyde, and you know that. But even without the ability to control them, I think you did a fantastic job. And you stepped up and kept it together when it wasn't your responsibility to do so. Now that Mia is back with her rightful mate, you can focus on your true future in the pack with your mate." She smiled at me.
"How did you know I found her?" I questioned.
"Mia told me about her and I met her in the kitchen. I heard all about their relationship and how Mia chose to save her after everything." She giggled.
"Mia is humble." I chuckled back.
"Just as any Alpha should be. Always keep faith and forgiveness in your heart." She spoke as if she spoke it from a book.
"I missed you mom, so much." I hugged her.
"I missed you too baby. And I'll continue to count down the days when i can be back with you guys again." She hugged me tightly back, not wanting to let go.

Victors POV"Dude, I haven't seen you in ages." Adam slapped my arm.
"Yeah, well the last time you saw me, also wasn't me. My wolf was completely out." I chuckled.
"Yeah, but you did what you had to do. I don't blame you for that." Adam shrugged.
"I do. Everyday. I'm just feeling more tamed that I got to see Bella again and see that Mia is safe after all of these years." I crossed my arms.
"I still cant believe your not with Bella, man. That's gotta suck being in two different realms like that." Adam cracked open a beer.
"Well, you know 'his all mighty" liked to put shit into Selenes head. The fucking asshole got us separated. Even though he knows damn well how bad that hurts her. Let me just say, I think he's an awful brother and he doesn't deserve where he's at now." I rolled my eyes.
"You both always had beef with each other." He laughed.
"I will continue to have beef with that motherfucker. And so help me, I promise one day if I'm able to come back, I will rock his shit." I started to feel the anger coming to the surface.
It was interrupted when I heard someone walk into the door.
"Am I interrupting something?" Mia asked.
We both turned to look to see Mia standing by the door.
"Not at all, Mina. Come in." I calmed myself down.
"You've come a long way, Mia. Or I should say, alpha." Adam smiled.
"Thank you." She smiled back.
"I will give you both some time to speak. It was good to see you again, Victor. I will say, its been hard living without my best friend. Again, it was a pleasure serving beside you." Adam bowed his head in submission.
"As it was having you as my beta." I placed my hand on his shoulder.
He nodded his head before walking out the door.
"Mia, is there any questions you have for me until our time is up?" I asked her while suggesting we sit down.
She walked over and sat down at the table that was in the office.
"I don't believe so. I just thought I would come see you before you go. I don't know when the next time Ill be able to see you again." She looked sad.
"You'll see me again, don't worry about that. But there is one thing I would like to discuss briefly with you before our time is up." I crossed my arms.
"What is it about?" She questioned.
I sighed before continuing.
"I want to tell you more about the Howl of Sins and why it made me and your mother go down in history."
