Chapter 52

Doctors POV

*Hospital monitors beeping*

"Can I get a status report?" I tried to say calmly.

"One male and one female was in an accident. Both seem to be in critical condition.." The nurse responded.

...

"We need to get to the operation room, STAT. We have a case of cardiac arrest." We rushed the hospital bed in the room.

Blake's POV

No, NO. This was not suppose to go like this today. This was suppose to try to be a stress free day, where we get the stress off of my father and on to me. To make this pack more safer for me, for Mia, AND FOR MY PACK. Instead I got the call when I was waiting for Toby's car to pull into the coronation facilities parking lot. Critical condition?! I swear I'm going to hurt Toby for putting her in a dangerous situation. This is his fault. I ran into the double doors of the hospital and straight to the information.

"hello  Alpha, we've bee-" The clerk started before I interrupted.

"WHERE IS SHE!" I yelled, trying to contain the anger I couldn't keep in.

"She's in the ICU. She's-"

Before the woman could continue, I ran towards the way to the ICU. I busted through the doors and saw a doctor and a nurse standing outside of a room and talking. They brought their attention to me. As the doctor started walking towards me with his hands up to stop me, I tried to push him out of my way but he stopped me.

"Alpha, we cant have you go in right now. Were waiting for a few tests to come back, and waiting for transport to come up to get her to bring her to the xray." The doctor tried explaining.

"I don't care about what you're waiting for, thats my mate in there. Not only that, but that is your Luna. AND IM YOUR ALPHA. You will let me in there." I demanded.

"Son, you're not sworn in. You need to listen to the doctor." My father came walking over and started to have a slight cough.

"Father, you need to sit down." I said as I wrapped my arm around him and helped him sit in the chair that was in the hallway.

"I'm quite alright. But you shouldn't stress yourself out, or the doctors. They're doing all they can right now." Alpha Daniels shrugged.

"He's right, plus the thing about the situation I needed to talk about was-" The doctor started.

I started to zone out on the room she was in and the nurse standing outside getting some medicine in syringes ready and it wasn't sitting well with my wolf. Or me for that matter. Knowing that Mia was in that room in critical condition, or might be very well fighting for her life was making me go crazy, and before I knew it, I was running past the doctor and the nurses into Mia's hospital room.

Mia's POV

I cant believe the situation I have sitting in my hands right now. I couldn't help think about the events that have taken place about over an hour ago. And the fact that I cant help to think that it has to do with me that people have gotten hurt. No only Toby..  But the explosion hit another family and a few others.. I'm not a very dangerous person, but at this point I am a dangerous person for people to be around. Especially my pack. Maybe this was one of the reasons Jackson wanted me mated to him so bad.

"MIA?!" I heard Blake yell in disbelief.

I turned around to meet his embrace and for a minute... I felt safe.

"Thank the moon goddess. You're safe" 

And with those words, I felt my eyes start to swell up with tears.

"All I have to say is, you better be grateful to Toby.." I couldn't stop the tears from falling.

He pulled me back to look into my eyes,

"What do you mean?"

"That's what I was trying to tell you about." Blake turned around to look at the doctors standing behind him.

"We were trying to tell you that Mia made it out just fine. She was winded from the explosion. It was about Toby's condition that we needed to educate you about." The nurse added on.

"Is he doing okay?" Blake asked with trying to hold the look of concern.

"Could we possibly take this discussion out in the hallway? The nurse needs to examine and do a few tests on Mia." The doctor shrugged.

"Yeah of course." Blake said to the doctor before looking back at me,

"I'll be right back, okay?" He rubbed his neck.

"Yes, just please make sure you go see Toby.." I sighed.

Blake nodded his head before following the doctor out into the hallway. The nurse walked towards me with a tray of medical equiptment.

"I am going to ask you to get fully undressed for these tests, Luna."

Blake's POV

"Toby is in stable condition as of right now. We have him hooked up to a few monitors to make sure we're keeping an eye on his vitals. It seemed the stress of the events that have taken place and the damage he has received from the said accident, he went into cardiac arrest." The doctor explained.

"What happened?" I crossed my arms with my pointer finger on my lip.

"It was classified as a bad car explosion. Mia is lucky to have come out of it with minor cuts, bruises, and some minor burns. For Toby's sake, he wasn't too lucky."

"Is he going to be okay?" I took a deep breath.

"With the way his wolf is healing. Toby should be fine." The doctor reassured.

"That's good." I let out a sigh of relief.

"Toby saved Mia's life. If he wouldn't have been there, it would have been a high chance of Mia not making out of that explosion alive. She would have been on life support. We don't know how, but Toby got Mia to safety after the car exploded." The doctor continued, but the conversation was cut short before we heard Amelia yell from down the hall. 

I ran as fast as I could down the hall, towards the room I heard the scream come from.

Amelia's POV

My mate.... my mate was laying in the hospital bed before my eyes, trying so desperately to hide the pain from appearing on his face.

"Amelia, I promise you I'm going to be alright." He tried to say in the most comforting tone he could speak out.

"I could have lost you, baby.." I tried to keep the tears from running down my face.

"I know, but I'm still here and my wolf is doing its best to heal me." He sat up in his hospital bed slowly.

"Are you in pain..?" I asked.

"I'm in a little pain, but its nothing to worry about. They're doing their best with keeping the pain under control." He looked at my eyes.

"There's no need to be sad, my love. It's better for me to be hurt, than for it to be Mia. I didn't want her to be hurt." He spoke again.

"Wait.. What do you mean..?" I said startled.

Before Toby had time to respond back to me, I heard my brother speak out.

"That's actually the reason I'm here. Toby, do you have a moment to speak?"
