Mias POV
I gasped.
"What kind of curse?" Blake questioned.
"She placed a very powerful curse on your mother. Do you still know it Carmen?" Adam asked.
Carmen nodded.
"The first born child, Alpha of the Darkened Night Howlers, will possess the ability to Silent Howl. A howl so powerful that makes wolves drop to their knees and submit. But with that, the first born will never be whole. They will forever be in darkness until rightfully mates to their mate. Then their mate will possess the first horns abilities. But only with the prized possession." Candy finished.
"What does that mean?!" I said confusingly.
"It means you guys can never fully mate until you have the 'prized possession'" Clyde added.
"That must explain..." Blake choked up.
"Why our mark won't hold.." the tears started to spill.
"You tried to finish the bond?" Clyde said scared.
"Yes, but our mark disappeared the day after.." Blake spat out.
"YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!!" Clyde was terrified.
"Excuse me??!!!" I screamed.
"What do you mean she could have been killed?" Blake got angry.
"Lilith made it so if you mated without it.. Mia would die." Candy said.
"Why can I never have a break." I sighed.
"Why wasn't Mias birth filled?" Alpha Daniels questioned.
"We didn't have anything on her." Mary shrugged.
"That's how we wanted it. Mia was born 7 months later due to complications. You were extremely healthy for a premature. Everything was going well. When you were born, they saw that you were female. They knew you were going to be a target. So your father talked to the doctor and decided to withhold your birth certificate from being announced to the public." Adam explained.
"So it was like I never existed?" I rubbed my chin.
"Exactly. The only people who knew about your birth was our pack members and your family. It wasn't until 11 years later, when someone betrayed our pack." Adam continued.

Victors POV
"Why did you bring me out here daddy?" Clyde asked.
"We need to discuss something very important Clyde." I sighed.
"There's a rat in our pack. There could be hits out on your sister. I need you to promise me something..?" I asked.
"What is it..?" Clyde sighed.
"If something is to happen, I need you to grab your sister. Walk down the corridor, enter the catacombs and go down section 43, down tunnel 003 and run. Keep running until you reach the safe house. I need you two to hide their until beta Adam comes to get you both. Don't leave your position for anything. Can you do that for me?" I explained.
Clyde nodded.
"I promise to keep her safe!"
