Silent Howl

Chapter 22

Blake's POV

I had Mia in my arms bridal style while running down the hallway in my underwear. She was screaming while holding her bare stomach.

"What's goin- BLAKE!" Mary screamed.

I stopped in my tracks.

"Why are you carrying Mia around half naked?" Mary crossed her arms.

SHIT. I didn't notice that Mia was only wearing the little pieces of red lace that barely covered her body. That's when I heard more snapping noises and Mia's piercing scream.

"IT HURTS SO BAD!!!" She screamed.

"Is everything okay?" Alpha Daniel came running out with a piece of paper.

"Will you quit it with the pieces of paper! They aren't gonna do shit." Mary rolled her eyes.

"One day I will hurt someone with a piece of paper, just you wait." Alpha Daniel said contently.

"I hate to break this up but I'M IN PAIN!" Mia snapped.

My father quickly unbuttoned his shirt and handed me it to put on Mia. I didn't like her having another males scent on her but I also didn't want anyone else checking out my mate. After I got the shirt on her I booked it down the hall into the foyer where there was a bunch of pack mates. I was about to growl so they made clear but the next thing I hear is a loud high pitched howl come borrowing out of Mia. Every pack member dropped to their knees without hesitation. I almost fell as well but I tried my best to stay standing.

"What the hell was that?" I said confusingly.

"I DON'T CARE JUST HELP ME!" Mia slapped my chest.

I ran and ran until we reached the pack hospital.

"I'm sorry Blake, but you have to wait out here." The pack doctor stated.

"She needs me right now." I growled.

"Cut that out right now, Blake. Now slip these pants and shirt on." Mary rolled her eyes.

"Is she going to be okay doctor?" Mary questioned.

"It's hard to tell. She's experiencing her first shift. It's dangerous for her because of her age. Is there anything that could have pushed her to shift?" He gripped his chin.

After I slipped the sweat pants and tank top on, I rubbed my neck as everyone looked at me.

"Our mating signs have been forced out tonight." I stated.

"You guys are mates!?" Mary screeched.

"Yes, they are. And you can thank us." Amelia flipped her hair as her and the other 3 girls walked down the hall.

"This isn't necessarily something to be proud of. This could be very life threatening." The doctor continued.

"What do you mean?" I growled.

"Mia is very malnourished. With her being her size and not having a shift before this could be very crucial. But seeming its happening now then later is also a good thing."

A loud high pitched howl came bursting out through the whole floor. All of us dropped to our knees except my parents, they just seemed to be dead in thought of confusion.

"What the hell was that?!" Amelia screamed.

We then stood back up once the howling stopped.

"That was Mia." I sighed.
