I Am Thou

(Y/N)'s POV

The buzzer sound and I rushed Cardin. He swung his mace downwards which I easily avoided. I landed a few good punches before he elbowed me in the face. I jumped back a few feet and recovered.

He charged me and plowed his shoulder into my chest. I was sent sprawling to the ground. His foot connected with my gut and the buzzer sounded. He walked away as I stood up shakily.

Glynda: "That's the match. Cardin is the winner." She pressed a few buttons on her pad and looked at me. "Please do train more mister (L/N). Refer to you guidebook."

She left the arena and I followed a little while after. Outside the arena was my team waiting for me. I was the fifth member of Team RWBY due to a miscalculation in the system.

(Y/N): "I lost again. Sorry."

Ruby: "Don't sweat it (Y/N). You'll get the hang of it babe." Her smile beamed brightly. I could only smile back at her enthusiasm. She snaked her hand into mine and intertwined our fingers.

Yang: "Let's go eat. I'm starving."

Intercom: "Will Team RWBY report to the Headmaster's office please."

Yang: "Or not."

We all made our way to the elevator and entered it. The elevator went up and we soon found ourselves in the office of Professor Ozpin.

Ozpin: "Ahh Team RWBY. Please come in." We exited the elevator and stood in front of his desk.

Ruby: "You wanted to see us professor?"

Ozpin: "I have a mission for your team."

(Y/N): "What kind of mission?"

Ozpin: "Search and Destroy. There have been reports of massive grimm activity deep within the Emerald Forest. Your job is to find the cause of it and destroy it."

Ruby: "You can count on us professor. We'll head out as soon as we can." He nodded and we entered the elevator. Our feet carried us to the cafeteria where we got our food and met up with Team JNPR.

Pyrrha: "So what did the professor want?"

Weiss: "We have a Search and Destroy mission deep in the Emerald Forest."

Jaune: "Sounds awful."

Blake: "Gotta do what you gotta do."

Ren: "Will you be okay (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "I'll be fine Ren. I've got my team with me."

He nodded and I returned to eating my food. They all had a right to worry about me. My aura levels were on the low end and I've yet to even manifest a Semblance. Why did Ozpin even accept me into Beacon?

We finished our food and made our way to the back of the school. Bullheads were coming and going with students on missions. Our bullhead landed in front of us and we entered it.

The bullhead lifted off and we took our seats. I sat next to the window and looked at the passing clouds. After a few minutes a tap came to my shoulder. My head turned to locked eyes with Ruby.

Ruby: "You okay?"

(Y/N): "I'm fine Ruby. Just thinking."

Ruby: "About what?"

(Y/N): "A lot of things. Why was I let into Beacon? Why haven't I found my Semblance yet? How am I useful to this team?" Ruby placed her hand on top of mine and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Ruby: "I don't have the answers you seek, but I know one thing for sure. You're here for a reason. Don't doubt yourself so much." She gave me a quick peck on the cheek and I smiled. I'm glad I have her in my life.

Timeskip - 2 Hours

Third Person POV

The bullhead hovered above the ground and Team RWBY jumped from it. They all landed on the ground with slight thuds. The bullhead took off and they ventured into the forest.

Yang: "How far do you think we gotta travel?"

Blake: "Who knows. Be on the look out for tracks."

The five ventured deeper and deeper into the forest without much luck. They killed the occasional stray grimm, but that was about it. It went on like this for an hour until a stroke of luck hit them.

(Y/N): "Tracks!!" (Y/N) examined the footprints and looked to where they led. They were fresh and head towards the north. Team RWBY followed the tracks until they reached a cave.

The opening of the cave was empty, but growls and howls could be heard from deep within. They steeled their nerves and entered the cave. Shining crystals littered the roof of the cave giving off light.

Within a few minutes they found a massive hoard of grimm. They were noticed immediately and the fighting began.

Ruby bounced around the cave with her Semblance, Weiss summoned miniature knights, Blake and Yang tag teamed, and (Y/N) fought off stragglers that got passed the group.

The fighting continued for an hour until a tragedy happened. (Y/N) got attack by an unseen Beowolf and his aura shattered. Ruby saw this and lost focus for a moment.

A boartusk rammed itself into her side and sent her to the ground. The other member is her team crowded around her and tried their best to protect their leader.

(Y/N) killed the beowolf and looked over to his teammates. They were starting to get overwhelmed and all he could do is watch.

(Y/N): "I need to help them, but I'm too weak." He pounded his fist into the ground and cursed his strength. "I need power."

???: "If power is what thou seeks. Then I shall give it to thee." A splitting headache came to (Y/N) and he clutched his head.

(Y/N): "W-What's going on?!"

???: "You seek the strength to protect. The power to destroy your foes. Then let us form a pact. I am thou, thou art I.....call upon my name!!!" A mask appeared on (Y/N) face. A name popped into his mind.

(Y/N): "Charge forth....Siegfried!!" He ripped the mask from his face and a blue fire enveloped his body. The fire died down after a minute and a ten foot tall Roman General appeared behind him.

The general charged forth and began to slaughter grimm left and right. (Y/N) ran up to his teammates and check on Ruby. She was unconscious but still breathing.

Siegfried: "Use my power!!" I ran up to Siegfried and focused my aura.

(Y/N): "Gallant Charge!!" Ethereal riders rode up from the earth. Within minutes they slaughter the rest of the grimm and disappeared. Siegfried did the same and (Y/N) ran over to Ruby. She was conscious and sitting up awe struck.

Ruby: "(Y/N)!!" She jumped into his arms and he held her close. "You found your Semblance."

(Y/N): "I did and it's all thanks to you Ruby." The pair connected lips and kissed. Ruby deepened the kiss until Yang coughed.

Yang: "Get a room love birds."

(Y/N): "Let's get out of here." The team exited the cave and signaled the bullhead. Within moments it landed and they entered it.
