RWBY x Male Reader (Request Book) 2

The Flame Within

This is a Male Reader x Weiss requested by DarkSoulsDepression.

Weiss's POV

My alarm clock blared loudly. I slammed my fist onto it and it stopped making that awful racket. I sat up in bed and stretched which earned me some satisfying joint pops.

Everyone else was still asleep so I got out of bed quietly and got dressed for today. I wore my usual white outfit and exited the dorm. My feet carried me to the cafeteria where I quickly ate a light breakfast.

Upon finishing my breakfast, I left the school and walked to Vale. I wanted to visit the nearby book store for some light novels. After a couple of minutes I arrived at the store and entered.

Clerk: "Hello."

Weiss: "Good morning."

I slowly walked around the store examining books trying to find something that peaked my interest.

???: "Need some help finding something?" My head turned to see a boy with (h/l) (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes.

Weiss: "Do you have any suggestions for light novels?"

???: "I would suggest 'The Flame Within'. It's a rather interesting tale with a griping storyline. I've read it a bunch of times."

Weiss: "Do you have any copies in stock?"

???: "I'll go check for you." He left for a few minutes, but quickly returned with a book in hand. "Here you go."

Weiss: "Thank you....umm."

(Y/N): "(Y/N)."

Weiss: "Thank you (Y/N)."

(Y/N): "Of course. Let me know if you need anything else." He walked away from me and towards a bookshelf where he began stacking books onto it.

I walked up to the clerk and he rang to the book up for me. I swiped my card and he handed me the book with a smile. My feet carried me out of the store and back to Beacon.

After a short walk I found myself back at my dorm reading the book I had purchased. Minutes turned into hours and soon enough it was nighttime.

Blake: "What's that book your reading Weiss?"

Weiss: "The Flame Within. Its a very interesting book."

Blake: "What's it about?"

Weiss: "It's about a man who has the power to turn into a flaming beast. At first he rejects the power due to a tragedy, but slowly comes to terms with it through trials and tribulations."

Blake: "Sounds interesting. Who's the author?"

I placed a marker in my book and closed it. Upon looking at the cover I was a bit shocked. The author was (Y/N) (L/N).

Weiss: "Its written by (Y/N) (L/N)."

Blake: "Haven't heard of him before. Must be a new author."

Blake retreated to her bed and began to sleep. I placed the book on my nightstand and laid down in my bed. My mind kept going back between the book and (Y/N). After a while my mind finally calmed down and I fell asleep.

Timeskip - 2 Weeks

(Y/N)'s POV

I walked around the bookstore doing my job of stacking shelves and greeting customers. Time seemed to fly by because soon enough it was the middle of the day. The door's bell rang.

(Y/N): "Hello."

Weiss: "Hello (Y/N)."

(Y/N): "Hello Weiss. Good to see you again."

Weiss: "Likewise."

(Y/N): "Did you finish that book I showed you?"

Weiss: "I did and it was a very pleasant read. You're a good author."

(Y/N): "I try my best."

Weiss: "Do you mind answering some questions I have about the book?"

(Y/N): "Sure, I'm finished for the day anyways."

I waved goodbye to my boss while Weiss and I walked out the front door. Weiss was gushing over the little details in the book while I tried my best to not be embarrassed.

Timeskip - 1 Month

Third Person POV

Over the past month Weiss and (Y/N) grew close to one another thanks to his book. They mostly spent time at (Y/N)'s workplace talking about it and their daily lives. A wonderful friendship blossomed from it.

(Y/N)'s POV

It was a boring day at the bookstore. Weiss had gone on a mission with her team which meant we weren't spending the day together. It makes me sad when we don't spend time together.

She's so enthusiastic and kind. Her laugh and smile make me do the same. My heart beats whenever she says my name. I'm in love with her.

Just then, alarms from outside started blaring loudly. I looked out the window and saw people running away screaming from the center of town. I quickly grabbed my claymore and ran out the door.

Grimm were coming from the center of town. I made my way towards the center while killing any Grimm that I could. After a couple of minutes, I made it to the center and went wide eyed.

A massive hole was in the wall and Grimm were pouring in. Hunter and Huntresses from all around were fighting them back. Among them was Weiss and her team.

I charged into battle and tore through any Grimm the stood in my way. Within second I found myself by Weiss's side.

Weiss: "(Y/N)?!"

(Y/N): "Here to help!!" I decapitated and incoming beowolf and kicked it's body into the crowd of Grimm. I cut down a couple more and decapitated another one.

More and more Grimm showed up. It seemed to be an endless battle. Guess I've got no choice but to use it. I've always hated this Semblance.

Third Person POV

(Y/N): "Weiss get back!!"

Weiss: "Are you insane?!"

(Y/N): "Trust me!!" She did as he commanded and Grimm swarmed in from all sides. Intense heat began to come off of (Y/N). He dropped to all fours and his skin erupted into flames.

His body tripled in size and horns grew from his head. His body developed flaming strands of fur and claws on all four limbs. The ground around him began to melt from the intense heat.

(Y/N): "RAARRWW!!" He bolted forward and sliced through a multitude of Grimm. Their bodies erupted into flames and burned to ashes. Fire trailed behind (Y/N) as he ran around the battlefield killing Grimm left and right.

Weiss watched him wide eyed. The book. His Semblance. It all made sense to her. She finally understood everything.

While (Y/N) slaughter every Grimm he could, the other Hunters and Huntresses managed to seal up the hole in the wall. A few more minutes went by and  the last of the Grimm were killed off.

(Y/N) came to a stop in front of everyone. Weiss walked forward while everyone watched. Her hand touched (Y/N)'s cheek yet the fire didn't hurt her. (Y/N) slowly turned back into a human and stood the with Weiss's hand pressed against his cheek.

Weiss moved in closer and locked lips with him. People around clapped and whistled for the new couple. She pulled away from him and smiled. He returned her smile.

Weiss: "I don't care what you are. I'll always love you."

(Y/N): "Thank you Weiss."
