Ruby's POV

It was you typical day at Beacon Academy. My team and I were sitting in class doing whatever we wanted. The professor was late for some reason. As so as the thought finished, the classroom door opened.

Port: "Settle down class." He walked to his desk and was followed by a boy. He had (H/L) (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes. "We have a new student joining our class today. Please introduce yourself young man."

(Y/N): "Hello everyone. My name is (Y/N) (L/N). I hope to get along with everyone."

Port: "Please take a seat wherever you would like." (Y/N) scanned the room and spotted the empty seat next to me. He walked up to it and sat down.

Ruby: "Hey there!! I'm Ruby Rose!!"

(Y/N): "Nice to meet you Ruby."

The class began and everyone began to take notes. Most of the time however was spent listening to the professor's stories. The bell finally rang and we packed up our things.

(Y/N): "Hey Ruby?"

Ruby: "Yeah?"

(Y/N): "Could you show me around the school? I'm still trying to get used to everything."

Ruby: "I would love to!!"

I grabbed him by the wrist and we marched off around the school. We kept walking and talking until he finally understood where to go.

Ruby: "And this is the battle arena where everyone comes to train."

(Y/N): "I see."

Ruby: "Speaking of training, how about we have a match?"

(Y/N): "I don't think that's a good idea for me."

Ruby: "Why not?"

(Y/N): "I'm not that good at fighting."

Ruby: "You'll be fine."

(Y/N): "If you say so Ruby."

Third Person POV

Both of them retrieved their gear and stepped into the arena. Ruby had her scythe while (Y/N) wielded a broadsword. A timer appeared on the screen and began to count down.

The timer hit zero and Ruby bolted towards (Y/N). He stood his ground and go ready to guard. Ruby actives her semblance and materialized behind him. She got a few strikes in before (Y/N) reacted.

He slashed behind him, but Ruby jumped away. (Y/N) clicked a button on his sword and it transformed into a chain whip. He wiped it towards Ruby, but she easily dodged it.

She got in close and dealt a few more slashes. A buzzer went of signaling the end of the match. (Y/N) fell to the ground huffing while Ruby stood there without breaking a sweat.

Ruby: "You weren't kidding."

(Y/N): "Yep."

(Y/N) sat up and clicked the button on his hilt again causing the chain whip to turn into a sword again. Ruby extended her hand and he took it. She pulled him up and he dusted himself off.

Ruby: "Why didn't you use you semblance?" (Y/N) went silent for a few minutes before he answered her.

(Y/N): "Its cause I don't have one." He rubbed his arm sheepishly.

Ruby: "That's okay (Y/N). You'll find it eventually." She walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "As for training, I'll be here to help."

(Y/N): "Thanks Ruby." Both of them smiled at each other.

Timeskip - 3 Months

Three months have passed since (Y/N) joined Beacon. Everyday Ruby and (Y/N) train with one another. He's slowly improving with each day that passes.

Within that time something else developed. Ruby had grown to enjoy the young man's company. She found herself falling for him with each day that went by.

When (Y/N) gets picked on she's there to protect him. When he needs something she's has it for him. She's always there for him.

(Y/N)'s POV

Ruby and I were taking a stroll in the Emerald Forest. She suggested we take a break today and just enjoy ourselves. I took her up on the offer and here we are.

Ruby: "You've really improved in three months (Y/N)."

(Y/N): "You think so?"

Ruby: "I know so."

Just then the brush all around us began to move. We got our weapons ready as few beowolves emerged from it. The beowolves charged us.

Ruby took out the first couple while I took out two that came up from behind us. The commotion attracted more beowolves. We kept attacking until there were only a handful left.

Ruby: "Ahhh!!" I turned around to see Ruby on the ground without her weapon. A beowolf pounced towards her. Something in me snapped and I dashed at her with lighting speed.

I decapitated the beowolf and stood in front of Ruby. I fell to a knee breathing heavily. I could sense something behind me but I couldn't move my body. Something sharp pierced my back and I could feel blood seeping from the wound.

Ruby: "(Y/N)!!" She quickly found her scythe and cut down the thing behind me. She quickly killed the rest of the beowolves as I fell to the ground in pain.

Ruby: "You're gonna be okay!!" She applied pressure to the wound while frantically calling someone on her scroll. Everything around me went dark and I passed out.

Timeskip - 3 Days

My eyes opened to a blinding light. My eyes adjusted to a ceiling light. When I finally got the rest of my sense I noticed Ruby sitting in a chair next to me. She was fast asleep.

(Y/N): "Ruby?"

Ruby: "I'm awake!!" She jolted up in her seat and rubbed her eyes. She noticed me sitting up and quickly tackled me onto the bed. "(Y/N)!!"

(Y/N): "Ow."

Ruby: "Sorry!!" She let me go and we both sat up on the bed.

(Y/N): "What happened?"

Ruby: "A beowolf slashed you in the back and you almost bled to death." A few tears dripped from her eyes. "Thank Oum you're still here."

(Y/N): "I should be saying that to you. You almost got taken out by that beowolf."

Ruby: "Guess we're both lucky to be alive."

Ruby moved closer to me and pressed her body against mine. Her lips pressed against mine and we kissed. We pulled apart after a few minutes.

Ruby: "Never leave me."

(Y/N): "I promise."

Timeskip - 7 Years

Third Person POV

After the pair graduated from Beacon they decided to settle down in Ruby's hometown of Patch. Ruby gave birth to a little girl they named Summer. And they lived happily ever after.
