This is a Robyn Hill x Former Atlas Specialist Male Reader x Winter Schnee requested by DJ0401. The story idea was also given to me by the requester.
(Y/N)'s POV
I stood on the balcony overlooking the city of Mantle. High above in the sky from the outpost of the Atlas island that hung so eerily above. Those poor souls were suffering cause of the choices made by The General. He offered no aid to them while trying his best to keep Atlas from falling apart both literally and figuratively.
(Y/N): "Things just keep getting worse and worse. One bad decision after another." I clenched my fist and lightly slammed it on the railing. "Why does The General have to be so stubborn!?!" If only I wasn't scared to say what needed to be said. To tell him exactly what he was doing.
Yet I can't due to his power. He's in a delicate mindset right now and opposition of any kind, let alone from one of his high ranking Specialists, could spell certain doom for things. I let out an aggravated sigh and pinched the ridge of my nose. My aggravation was short-lived as a knock came to my door. I quickly made it to the door and opened it to reveal Winter.
Winter: "Good evening (Y/N). May I come in?" I nodded and she entered as I shut the door behind her. She sat down at the desk near my bed as I sat on it. "How have you been holding up?"
(Y/N): "Trying my best Winter." She could sense the sadness in my tone when I said those words. Her eyes softened and looked at me understandingly.
Winter: "I know what The General is doing is hard to stomach, but I truly believe he is trying to do what is best for all of Atlas." I got up from my bed and made my way back onto the balcony as Winter slowly followed me.
(Y/N): "I truly want to believe that Winter, but it's hard to believe it. He made decision after decision and it only benefited Atlas leaving Mantle in the dust!!!" I slammed my hands onto the railing and let out a sigh of defeat. "How can I believe in a person who has done nothing for Mantle? For my home and its people. I just don't know anymore."
I felt arms wrap around me from behind and I felt Winter press herself against my back. My hands left the railing and held onto her arms gently. Her embrace was a sense of comfort in this trying time.
Winter: "You know that if there is anything I can do then all you need to do is ask (Y/N)." I turned around and embraced her as well. Winter was always kind to me from the moment we met. She was always a good friend. I just wish I had the courage to tell her she was more than that to me. We pulled away and smiled at one another.
(Y/N): "Thank you Winter." The moment was interrupted with a call from our comm pieces.
Ironwood: "(L/N) and Schnee do you copy?"
Winter: "Copy General."
Ironwood: "I need you two to report to my office immediately."
(Y/N): "On our way General." Winter and I both nodded and quickly made our way to The General's office. We both stood at attention as the General stood in front of us and motion us at ease.
Ironwood: "Thank you both for coming. News has come from Mantle and things have developed."
(Y/N): "Developed sir?"
Ironwood: "Despite our best efforts it seems that the Grimm are steadily making their way into Mantle. Our troops are diminishing yet the Grimm seem to keep growing so I've come to a decision." He turned away from us and walked to the window. He let out a heavy sigh. "I'm withdrawing all Atlas troops from Mantle and returning them back to Atlas."
