Read My Heart

(Y/N)'s POV

Beacon Academy was known for many things in Remnant. It produced some of the most famous Huntress and Hunters known around. However, I loved it because of the library.

It was the largest of the four kingdoms and held numerous amounts of information. Some ranging back to times from before Beacon was constructed. It was a sanctuary to those like me who enjoyed reading.

It was just a normal day at Beacon. A small pile of books laid to the right of me on the table. Right now I was reading a book on Grimm. It was fascinating to see the variety of beasts held within the pages.

???: "Drat." I looked up from my book and to the side. A black haired girl was looking at the books on the shelf.

(Y/N): "Looking for something in particular?"

???: "I'm looking for 'The Four Kingdoms' but someone seems to have taken it already."

I placed a bookmarker in my book and looked at the pile I had. In the middle of it was the book she was looking for. My hands carefully took it from the stack and hovered it in front of her.

(Y/N): "Here you go."

???: "Thanks.....um."

(Y/N): "(Y/N) (L/N)."

Blake: "Blake Belladonna."

She took the book from my hand and walked away. My heart was beating at a fast pace. Although it was our first interaction, my heart had been set on her for a while now.

I first took notice of Blake when we came to the school. She tried her best to hide from most people, but I took notice of her straight away.

Her black hair flowed naturally and her amber eyes pierced through you. She had a smile that could melt hearts and a laugh that was contagious.

I came back to reality and continued to read my book. A few hours passed by and I closed the book once more. I finished it and check my watch. It was getting late and I needed to get some sleep.

My feet carried my from the table and to the library door. I was going to open it when it opened on its own. It opened to reveal Blake.

(Y/N): "Excuse me."

Blake: "(Y/N) right?"

(Y/N): "Yes?"

Blake: "Here." She handed me the book she took earlier. "Just got finished with it."

(Y/N): "Thanks."

Blake: "It was a riveting tale of the kingdoms. I couldn't put it down once I started."

(Y/N): "We can talk more about it once I've read it."

Blake: "I think that's a wonderful idea."  We exchanged numbers and I went on my way.

Blake's POV

Upon (Y/N) leaving, I smiled and held my Scroll close to me. I was finally able to do it. I got his number. My feet carried me around the library while I picked out books happily.

I checked out my books and quickly made my way back to the dorm. The door opened and I entered it with a smirk.

Yang: "Did you do it?"

Blake: "I got his number."

Yang: "Ha, pay up Ice Queen!!" Weiss handed some lien to Yang and scoffed.

Blake: "You guys had a bet going?"

Weiss: "And I was so sure I was going to win."

Yang: "Still don't know what you see in him Blake?

Blake: "You wouldn't understand Yang."

Yang: "Try me."

Blake: "He's just so surreal. He enjoys reading, he's sweet and caring, and he's handsome. He's everything I've dreamed of."

Yang: "Blake and (Y/N) sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

Blake: "Shut up!!" I threw my pillow at her and she got hit in the face. They all laughed while I just read my book red faced.

Timeskip - 1 Month

Third Person POV

A month had passed since the events of that day. At first, the two only spent a day or two together discussing books. After some time it turned into almost a daily thing for them.

They enjoyed discussing books obviously, but they also discussed their days,classes, and anything else they could think of. In that short time their friendship had blossomed into something amazing.

The two of them were sitting in Blake's dorm alone. They had just finished reading and were currently discussing 'The Man With Two Souls'.

(Y/N): "I still believe the second soul will take over his body."

Blake: "I still believe he'll keep his original and the other will finally come to terms and pass on."

(Y/N): "We'll see in the next volume."

The two of them sat in comfortable silence. Both of them sat on Blake's bed next to each other. Blake's eyes began to close and he head tilted onto (Y/N)'s shoulder.

(Y/N): "Tired Blake?" She bolted up with a red face.

Blake: "Sorry!!"

(Y/N): "It's okay. It's getting late so I should be back to my dorm." He tried to get up but Blake grabbed his hand. "Blake?"

Blake: "C-Could you stay the n-night? With me?"

Both of their faces were red at this point. He nodded and both of them got into her bed face-to-face. There faces were only a few inches apart. (Y/N) could smell her minty breath from so close.

They each knew it was now or never. (Y/N) made his move and captured her lips with his. Blake melted into the kiss and brought her body closer to his. She picked his lips and he opened his mouth slightly.

Her tongue snaked into his mouth and tangle with his. His hands moved down to her hips and pulled her closer to him. The two continued their make out session for a few minutes before pulling apart.

Blake: "That was....amazing."

(Y/N): "It was...magical."

The two wrapped their arms around one another and smiled. They closed their eyes and drifted off to peaceful slumber.
