A Whole New Beginning

Chapter 2-The horse thieves

A couple of weeks went past and Dominic is closing up maggies as he was working the late shift and had just finished. Dominics mind raced back to jack as he hasn't seen him for a while, he really misses the smile Jack put on his face. His thoughts were quickly put to rest as Jack appeared at the front door of maggies banging and really out of breath. Dominic let Jack in and asked him seriously "Jack, man are you okay" jack struggled to breathe as he replied  "I was chasing men who stole my grand daughters and great grand daughters horses." Dominic was shocked at this news and decided to call the heartland ranch and told hem that jack was at maggies and was extremely tired. A person at Heartland ranch said someone will come and get him and Dominic then left. 

Dominic took Jack's truck and pursued the horse thieves running red lights and braking the speed limit to keep up with them. Quickly Dominic caught up to a red horse trailer. The horses whined loudly like they could tell that something was wrong with whats happening. Dominic got a random phone number calling him and when he answered it was Amy Fleming who started yelling "where are you how could you leave my grand dad like this" dominic replied "I Miss Fleming am tailing the horse thieves that have your horses" Dominics phone cut off as he became out of cell range and he knew that he had to step on it. Dominics face went quite stern and had a unforgiving look as he cut of the horse thieves and decided to confront them alone single handedly.

"Get out of here kid one of the thieves shouted as Dominic appraoched them. "No you have done something wrong and you deserve to be punished for it" Dominic said not backing down. Dominic got punched hard and fast by the thief and struggled to find his footing. His heart began beating faster and faster as he stood tall and determined to save the horses that needed him. The fight pursued and dominic was not giving up as he took each punch bravely and stupidly. Dominic began too lose consciousness just as another car with blue flashing lights arrived. 

(three days later)

Dominic awoke in the hospital where he was surronded by Jack's family and his own family. Everyone's face lit up with joy when Dominic said "That was a rough dream". "afraid you weren't dreaming kid" jack eagerly said. "you risked your life for our horses amy said as she approached him, "Thank you."
