A Whole New Beginning

Chapter 20-On the Mend

Dominic missed out on quite a lot of school work and he knew he had to catch up quickly if he didn't want to miss out on anything so he headed towards the libary as he thought he was the only one there that he could get a lot of work done without any interupptions however on arriving at the libary he saw another person sitting there with her head in the books not wanting to disturb her Dominic slowly crept over to a seat and began working as sliently as possible. Two hours flew by and Dominic lost complete track of time, rushing to his first class Dominic ran into the room just before the bell rang. Unaware of who he was siting next to Dominic focused on his work. "Hello" Georgie said to Dominic with a sympathetic attitude. However Dominic didn't reply to her for a while he just sat in slience. "Hello" Dominic replied forming a smile on his face. 

The class ended and both Dominc and georgie went there seperate ways towards there next classes which were music and equestrian studys. In music Dominic is sitting there tuning a guitar when the teacher walks in. "Ahh welcome back to music class Mr heart" Mrs Steel said as she looked at Dominic. Smiling back Dominic felt at home like he purely belong, "Now we have a new student joining us today and she is going to perform for us all everyone give a big round of appluase to Alex moon" Mrs Steel stated to the entire class. Dominic could see that alex was nervous and he watched paitently for her to begin. 

Both Dominic and alex finish the song stunning the entire classroom and forming smiles on there faces they sat down suprised by how well there voices go together throughout the res of the lesson Alex and Dominic kept stealing glances at one another. It came to the last 25 minutes of music class and the students were given a plain piece of paper. "Now you all must write your own song to perfrom for next week and now since his missed a few lessons Mr Heart come up and perform a solo song for us if you please." Mrs Steel stated as she stared him down. Dominic was quite shocked by this but he new it was the only way to show that he has talent still and it would also prove his confident in himself. 

When finishing the song Dominic saw the entire class smiling and alex had by far the brightest smile on her face once Dominic was done he became even more confident in who he was. The class was dismissed a few minutes early and as Dominic headed out the door, "Great work today Heart, keep it up" Mrs steel commented as he crossed the freshold of the doorway. 

Dominic was greeted by Alex outside the door and they struck up a tense chemistry inside the classroom. "Hey, i'm Alex I really like your voice it's incredible" Alex said as she walked with Dominic towards the canteen. "Yours is quite amazing too you know" Dominic replied with a reassuring smile making Alex smile back. The pair went on talking for the whole of their lunch break and the rest of there classes as they were in the same ones once the school day had ended Dominic and Alex said goodbye to one another as Dominic got the bus and Alex was picked up by her mom However instead of getting off at his home Dominic stayed on the bus all the way to Heartland.
