A Whole New Beginning

Chapter 22-No rest for hard workers

Dominic returned home with a big smile and told his family the news and they were overwhelmed with pride and then Dominic's parents gave him his best birthday present ever the keys to his own car and they explained he has got a driving test in a few hours since he already did his theory and passed not the first but second time. shocked by this outcome Dominic did everything he could to remember the rules of the road and quickly changed his clothes five to six times before he was comfortable and ready. The instructor arrived and Dominic went on his test and fear of messing up was a dominant force inside his head but he knew he had to push pass it and do his best and that way no matter the outcome he won't regret a thing. A few hours past and Dominic returned home revealing that he pasted his test and now he could drive. Overcome with joy his family forgot the sad memories of the last week. 

Dominic started getting ready for bed however before that he had a serious heart to heart with his sister. "I'm very sorry that I didn't attend your birthday" Dominic apologised with deep sympathy. "Hey look at me it's perfectly fine you were hurt and I understand that and I always will" Skye replied happy that her brother was able to talk to her about his feelings. The pair went to sleep and the next day rolled around like a blink of a eye. Waking with a smile on his face Dominic got dressed and had breakfast then left in his brand new car towards the ranch to begin working. Arriving quicker than he ever did before Dominic was greeted by Georgie, Amy and ty as if they were all waiting for him however none of them were expecting to see him pull up in a car. "Hey, is everything alright" Dominic asked approaching the group. They all looked speechless and stunned at the cool new Audi sitting before them. "Sweet ride" Ty said as he stared in disbelief, "Oh yeah parents got it for me last night as a birthday present" Dominic replied as if he wasn't worried about the price of it. 

"Okay Grandpa wanted me to give you this list of cores that you and Georgie need to do before you head off to school" Amy stated as she handed over a piece of paper to Dominic. Once he received the chores Dominic sighed and looked surprised at how little there was to do. "Oh one more thing your lessons will be straight after school." Amy added on to the conversation just before leaving to get ready for her morning. Dominic and Georgie cracked on with the list and surprisingly they still worked really well as a team despite their history.  While his body did the work Dominic thought back to the first time him and Georgie worked together and it caused a smile to form on his face, Georgie couldn't help but notice the smile and that in turn caused her to smirk with a genuine happy expression.

The pair finished the chores and headed towards the house. "Do you want a live to school" Dominic asked nervously, "Sure" Georgie replied happy and content. The two set off towards the school and had laughs that never ended. upon arriving at the school Dominic and Georgie had a intense moment of looks before departing and going their separate ways.
