okay so i'm having an aneurysm in this bitch because I hit 200,000 a day before i was projected to, 

sO hEre'S sOme UpDatEs

i wrote this when i was fifteen and i turn eighteen this year so that's fun. this wasn't a fic that i thought much about-- i was just obsessed with the commentary crew and decided quackity was my bias or whatever. but 200k later HERE WE ARE

a lot of reads now are from dream smp / mcyt so uh let me just

this was written from someone involved with commentary. really dry, stupid, 'offensive' (not really lmao) humor. some things back then aren't really acceptable now such as calling everything under the sun gay. 

i feel the need now to clarify i am lgbt, and a lot of characters in this call things gay. it's just what people did. i don't think quackity does it anymore with his mass following now and all but i stanned this guy at 600k or something and... things were just different

and then the slazo drama attacked 

for those unfortunate enough to have been a stan back then lmao--

i don't support hyojin even if she's mentioned in this book. and i don't support pyro. carson isn't in this book, but i ain't support him either. 

watching the commentary crew fall apart kind of broke my heart. 

also, aksel and quackity aren't friends anymore, and i have no idea why but it makes a piece of my soul die ahah

i don't watch him anymore. i wrote this not expecting it to even get 1k. he really had something special in 2018-19 and i'll probably miss it forever. i remember it fondly but he honestly tries really hard with his content now and it's just not what it was. 

that being said i only have good memories of all the comments and votes and laughing at his streams until i pissed myself. the comment threads on this really mean something to me. all the support, all the criticism, everyone who hated my main character, i am always going to be thankful and sentimental about. 

i know it's just numbers but it means a lot.

so a WARNING: this book isn't the best. there's a lot better out there. it's dated. 

i've thought about editing it so many times, but i was so scared editing it would get rid of the comment threads. i kept telling myself i'd edit it at 200k. 

but i read it again for the first time in months. and all of the comment threads and infighting and the occasional comment relating to something personal in the plot 

(ahem ahem katelynne being based on my irl ex best friend) 

makes me too sentimental to bother.

enjoy the way this youtuber makes you feel. enjoy finding new fics and doing raids and idk, whatever people who like dream smp do. i doubt you'll ever find a youtuber like him again.
