"So, when do I get to meet her?" Avery asks as we were walking out to the parking lot. Classes were over and it time to go home, which I was glad.
"Soon. I promise." I smile as I unlock my car.
She leans on it then smiles at me. "So, are you two official?"
Tossing my bag in the passenger seat, I lean out of the car then look over at her. "No. We told each other how we felt and that's it."
I saw her nod as she was looking at me. "I really want to meet her, Carson."
"You will." I smile at her then looked at my watch. "I better go. Kendall is coming over in thirty minutes."
Avery pulls me into a hug. "I'll see you later, Carson."
"Bye, Avery." I smile at her before getting in my car as she was walking away.
When I texted Kendall last night, she freaked out and said she was definitely coming and no plans was going to mess this up for her.
I wasn't that nervous cause I knew Kendall knew that we weren't together or anything like that. She knows we like each other cause I told her and she freaked out so much.
I remember when I first let her meet Sandra and instantly she picked up a bad vibe that I couldn't see.
Kendall was always like that with everyone I liked or dated. Always protective and aware of what I couldn't see.
But she had nothing to worry about with Logan.
She was perfection.
And I really wish she was mine.
I can feel something between us that I definitely didn't feel with Sandra. There was a connection there, pulling me closer to her and I noticed that the first night I stayed with her.
But I'm not sure if she feels it too.
Shaking my head, I didn't let my thoughts consume me as I needed to get there before Kendall did. I pulled down her street then saw her house come into view and I instantly smiled before pulling up in the driveway.
I grabbed my bag before getting out then walking towards the door. I walked inside then shut the door behind me as I tossed my bag on the couch then walked into the kitchen where Logan was at.
Stopping, I saw her standing at the stove. She had her hair down, off to the side with some jogger pants on and a sweatshirt.
I smiled as I stared at her a little longer before she turns around and sees me. "Hey, I didn't hear you come in." I walk to the counter as she was watching me. "How was your day?"
"Good." I smile at her.
"That's good."
Smiling at her, she turns back to the stove and I look at her for a moment. "How was your day?"
She turns her head and looks at me. "It was good."
I smiled at her then watch as she turns back towards the stove. I walk towards her then stood behind her for a moment until I wrap my arms around her, resting my head against her back.
We stayed in that position for a while until I felt her turn around to face me. I lean away to see her smiling at me before gently cupping my face, rubbing her thumbs against my cheeks.
As we were lost in each other's eyes, I couldn't help but slightly smile as I gently grab her wrists. I stared at her as she smiled at me before leaning towards me, getting closer as my heart was pounding in my chest.
