Panic room by Au/Ra^
Seeing Sandra standing a few feet away from me, made my whole body shut down. I kept staring at her as she was leaning against the door, smiling at me. I didn't know what to do from this moment on as she slowly leans off the door.
"I just came to talk." She said.
Looking at her, I saw her look around the living room before looking back at me. "What are you doing here? How did you get out?"
"My brother bailed me out." She shrugs. "It wasn't that hard to do apparently." She starts walking towards me and I started taking a few step backwards. "I just want to talk, Carson."
"I don't want to talk. I think I made that clear when I didn't answer any phone calls."
She nods after a moment of staring at me. "Yeah, I knew something was up." She glanced around. "I came here the other night but a cop pulled before you could come outside."
"That was you?"
"Yeah."
I gave her a confused look. "How did you find me?"
She slightly chuckles before taking her phone out. "I have a tracking device in your phone, Carson. I put it there a year ago."
Staring at her, I slowly took my phone out and stared at it before looking back at her. She was looking at me as she placed her phone back in her pocket and I knew I couldn't stand here with her for very much longer.
"Look.. I'm sorry about what happened."
"You're always sorry." I say. "You say sorry, do it again. Say sorry, do it again. It's the same cycle every time, Sandra."
She nods then looks down. "I know. But.. I've had a lot of time to think and I want to let you know personally that I changed and I'm better now."
Looking at her, I really couldn't understand if she was being for real or not. "You were in there for a week."
"And that's enough time to think, Carson." She sighs before walking towards me and I started walking back. "Please, don't be like that. I just want to talk. Can we please go back home and forget all of this?
"Home?" I question. "You mean the hell hole you call home but I call hell? No thanks. I don't live there anymore."
She looks at me then looks around. "You can't stay here for-"
"Yes, I can. I can stay with my girlfriend for as long as I want."
That made something go off.
"So.. we're done?"
"We've been done, Sandra."
She looks at me for a moment. "After I gave you everything, Carson?"
"You gave me pain and sadness, Sandra."
"I tried getting better, Carson. You know I was trying. You saw it in my eyes so many times."
I nodded. "Yeah, Sandra. I tried seeing the good in you for so long but it always came back around and hit me in the head. I should have left a long time ago."
"You can't just decide to leave when I was in jail."
"I think I did."
She looks at me before nodding, looking around. "You know what.. I really wanted to come talk to you. Get you back home and be the perfect girlfriend I can be but.. now I think I'll just force you."
Without hesitation, I turned away from her and tried running but she quickly tripped me in the process and I fell hard on the floor. I felt her on top of me as I was struggling to get my phone out of my pocket but she was holding my arms down.
