"How are you feeling?"
Looking over, I saw Logan standing at the foot of the bed. I was laying down with my head at the end of the bed, propped up on a pillow and looking through my phone.
I skipped classes today and Logan insisted that I do so. I was still in pain from my stomach, face and leg so of course I didn't want to get up this morning.
Logan stayed by my side all night, holding me in her arms and I slept like a baby. I didn't have any nightmares or woke up at all last night.
I actually slept through the whole night.
When I woke up this morning, Logan told me to go back to sleep as she was half asleep. She said not to worry about going to classes today that she would take the day off and stay home with me.
I couldn't agree more.
She woke up a few hours earlier then got up to make breakfast. She made sure I was comfortable in bed and asked me if I needed anything every few minutes as she came back in the room the check on me.
"I'm fine."
"Any pain?" She asks as she sits down next to me.
I shrug. "A little but not that noticeable."
She nods then looks me over before looking back at me. "Just checking."
Smiling at her, I put my phone down then reached over and grabbed her hand. I held it as I stared at her and she looked down at our hands before looking up at me. "I'm still sorry, Carson."
"Logan, please don't be. I told you it wasn't your fault."
She looks down then squeezes my hand. "I feel like it is, though." She sighs. "I feel like I could of did things differently then you wouldn't be in this situation."
Looking at her, I tightened my hold on her hand and smiled at her when she looked over at me. "It's ok. It's over now."
After a moment of staring at me, she reaches over and gently caresses my cheek. I smile at her then saw her lean over then pressed her lips against mine for a moment before leaning back.
"I love you."
Smiling, I held her hand up. "I love you too."
She smiles then stand up, releasing my hand in the process. "Breakfast is almost ready." I watch as she leans down then kisses my forehead before walking out the room.
Sighing, I laid there for a little longer before getting up. I placed my phone on the bed then walked out the room, following the smell of breakfast to the kitchen.
Logan was at the stove as I walked in then approached her before wrapping my arms around her. I leaned my head against her back then smiled as I sighed before feeling her turn around.
"I told you to stay in bed. I'll bring you the food."
I smiled at her as I look up at her. "I wanted to get out of bed." I look around her and saw food. "I'm hungry."
She chuckles before releasing me. "It's almost done."
"My stomach has been growling for like three hours."
"You haven't been up for three hours."
"I know. It was growling in my sleep."
I heard her laugh which made me smile. She cups my face then kisses me. "I love you."
"I love you too."
She smiles at me as she turns back towards the stove and I look at her for a moment before walking to the fridge. I grabbed the milk out before finding a glass in the cabinet then pouring a glass.
