Art

I know I briefly talked about how people are like mosaics but on a real note people really are like art.

Honestly it's all subjective. If no one taught people what type of art is supposed to be considered better and if no one knew what type of art other people liked then everyone would be leaning towards different things. Just like with people.

With art there are certain really famous pieces that most people love and think are masterpieces because everyone said they were. When you have a reason to believe that something is amazing and flawless you look at it through those lenses and find the good things in them. Which also happens with people. If word gets around that a lot of people think someone is attractive then people are going to look at them as if there is something attractive about that person to see. It also goes both ways. When someone thinks a person or art piece is bad then it's hard not to see it that way.

Everyone's opinion is insanely influenced by what everyone else thinks. Someone can look past an art piece, book, tv show or whatever it is and think it's ok. But if twenty people came up to them and told them it was the best thing they had ever seen then that person would reconsider their previous feelings.

I really love this idea because it means that no one is ever ugly or less than. It just means that your not around a group of people who see how amazing you are.

Some of the most famous things and people in life weren't appreciated at its time because no one understood how special it was. You can have a thousand people tell you that you will never succeed and that you are ugly but that doesn't make it true because for all you know there could be a million people who think differently.

People always talk about finding the right person who loves you for you but it's always hard to believe when you are constantly surrounded by people who don't think you are good enough. But it makes sense with this analogy. There will never be an art piece that everyone can collectively agree is horrible or amazing. There will always be at least one person who disagrees because art is subjective and people think, feel and react in different ways. So no one is ever ugly or worthless or not good enough.

It only takes one person saying that they think someone is really pretty, interesting, or cool in order for other people to rethink how they view that person. It's a little fucked up and annoying but it's also comforting.

Even if you never find that one person that sees you differently at least you always know that they exist.

Also I just think it's really cute how because people are like mosaics and people and art are subjective, then someone can look at a person and truly feel like they love that person in a way that no one else does.
