"Aria! Get your ass downstairs before I come up there and drag you down," Ryan yelled up at me from the kitchen. Groaning, I pushed the covers off of myself and walked into my bathroom to take a shower.

When I was finished, I dried off and walked over to my closet. Sifting through my clothes, it didn't take me long to decide what to wear: a simple pair of shorts and gray hoodie with my regular go-to pair of Vans.I looked in the mirror and smiled at my reflection.

My dark brown hair hung down my back in natural beach waves and my bright green eyes that I got from my dad stood out against my slightly tanned skin. I didn't use much makeup, just a bit of mascara and I was finished. I grabbed my bag, walked out of my room and down the stairs.

Making my way into the kitchen I found my mom, dad and brothers all sitting at the island, eating the breakfast that my dad had made. Fact about my mom: she cannot cook. Like, at all. Seriously. I sat down at the table in between my brothers and started eating breakfast.

"So, dad, is it true," Noah asked.

"Is what true?"

He nodded. "Yes. The Luna Caerulea Pack's high school burned down and they are going to have to start going to Wolf Valley, with you guys," my dad said casually and I dropped my fork.

"What," I yelled and looked over at him. "You have to be joking," I snapped, rising from the table.

"Aria. This is not open for discussion. We signed the treaty, the old Alpha resigned. I cannot just sit by and let these kids not have a school," he said, but I was already half way out the door by the time he finished his sentence. Grabbing my keys, I jumped into my car and peeled out of the driveway.

I can't even believe him! I mean, the pack attacked us and tried to take our land! I know that we signed the treaty and they got a new Alpha and all, but still, I don't trust them. Yeah yeah, the past is the past, but I was always one to hold a grudge.

I made it to school about thirty minutes early and the parking lot was like a ghost town. In all, there were three cars - including mine - there. I got out of my car, crawled up on the roof and looked up at the sky. A few minutes passed before I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I pulled it out to see that it was a text from Halle.

HALLE : is it true about the Luna Caerulea packs high school?

ME : unfortunately, yes. My dad told me this morning.

HALLE : ohhh....well are you ok?

ME : yeah, I guess. Their new alpha just better stay out of my way

I sent the text and put my phone back in my pocket. I looked back up at the sky and actually thought about what I had just said to Halle. It made sense I guess, I mean if he just stayed out of my way, we wouldn't have to communicate and I won't have to kick the big bad Alpha's ass. Simple as that.

By then, more cars started pulling in and parking. When my brothers got there, they pulled into their spots on either side of my car and got out.

"Hey, are you alright, Aria," Ryan asked me, looking worried.

"Yeah, you looked pretty pissed this morning," Noah added.

"Yeah, guys, I'm fine," I said as I sat up and slid off the roof of my car. About that time, Halle pulled up and got out of her car. She walked over to me and looked at me funny.
