"We're singing RadeoHead at the top of our lungs with the boom box blaring as we're falling in love..." Avril Lavigne's Here's to Never Growing Up blasted from my bedside table. I groaned and reached over to answer it.
"What," I snapped, agrivated that, whoever it was, was waking me up right now.
"Now, Aria, is that anyway to talk to your mate," Gaige said from the other end of the phone. I rolled my eyes, but smiled and sat up.
"I guess not. But really, I was sleeping, Gaige," I whined to him.
"Aria, baby, it's ten in the morning." I looked over at the clock and was surprised to see that he was right.
"Oh. Well, did you call for a reason," I asked as I pushed the covers away from my body and got out of the bed.
"Yes. Hurry and get dressed. I'll be there in thirty minutes," he said and the phone went dead. I rolled my eyes and rushed to take a shower.
When I was finished, I pulled on underwear and walked over to my closet, letting my hair air dry. He didn't specify where we were going or anything so I had absolutely NO idea about what the hell I was going to wear.
After a few minutes contemplation, I decided to wear a pair of short teal green shorts, a tight, white, shirt with three quarters length sleeves, a brown scarf, brown bangles, and brown sandels. I put on my normal amount of makeup, which didn't constist of much, grabbed my phone and went downstairs.
When I walked into the living room, my mom and Hadleigh were sitting on the couch. Hadleigh was showing pretty good now, but not a lot. When she smiled, you could definitely see the "glow" that people always said that pregnant women had. As I walked over to them, they looked up and smiled at me.
"Wow! Aria Ace is up before lunch. It's a mirical, mom," Hadleigh said and I rolled my eyes and smiled at her. "And no smart ass comment either. Something HAS to be going on."
"She's probably going somewhere with Gaige," mom said and I blushed.
"Wait, Gaige Harlow? As in the Alpha of Luna Caerulea Pack?"
"Yes," I said finally speaking up.
"Are you dating him?"
"We'll, I guess you could say that," I said looking everywhere but her eyes and blushed even harder, which was weird for me, considering I normally never would. Just then the doorbell rang and I let out a relieved breath, happy that I could get out of the dreaded 'tell me everything' talk with Hadleigh.
"Hey," Gaige said as I opened the door for him. He was wearing a charcoal gray shirt and jeans. My eyes raked over him and I smiled to myself. How he managed to look this great in everything that he wore was beyond me.
"Hey, babe," I said and grabbed a hold of his arm as he tried to come inside.
"Woah, can I not come in?"
"No, we don't want to be late for the, uh, thing..." I said not exactly sure what we were going to be late for but not wanting to stay.
"Ahh, come on. I haven't even met your sister yet," he said with a smile until he caught a look at my face.
"No."
"Alright," he said raising his hands in surrender, "Come on, Aria, we can't be late for the 'thing'," he said and let me pull him outside to his truck.
"Nice save back there," I said sarcastically and he just rolled his eyes and laughed.
"Thanks. Now why couldn't I go in and meet your sister? You know I am going to have to eventually."
