                        Gaige's POV

"I'm pregnant." Those two words played on repeat in my mind as I stared blankly at Aria, my hand over her flat stomach.

"You're pregnant," I whispered and she nodded, tears coming down her face in delicate streams.

Say something you idiot, my wolf growled at me, and I snapped out of my trance.

"I'm going to be a father," I whispered as a smile made its way into my face, until the reality of what I had just said started to sink in. The war. Me and Aria were bringing a baby in to the middle of a war.

After not saying anything for a while,  Aria pulled away from me and crawled back onto the bed. She dropped both hands to her stomach and look down, drawing small circles. I watched the tears drip onto her shirt and my heart tore into pieces. I crawled over to her and pulled her into my lap, placing my hands over hers. I rested my chin on her shoulder and looked down at our hands, "It's amazing, isn't it? We've created life," I said and kissed her shoulder.

She laughed and nodded, "What are we going to do, Gaige," she asked, turning to look at me.

I put my hands on her cheeks and stared into her eyes, "We are going to have this baby. And we are going to love him or her with everything that the both of us have," I said and kissed her lightly on the lips, wiping her tears away.

She closed her eyes and pulled away from me. She got up off of the bed and walked into the bathroom. She stood at the sink and looked into the mirror. I watched her for a minute, before getting off of the bed and following her. "Gaige, what if I'm not ready to be a mother," she whispered as I wrapped my arms around her waisted and looked at us in the mirror.

"You will be," I said in response. In all honesty, I didn't know if I was ready. Everything was going to change now. It wouldn't be just me and Aria anymore. But as I stared at us in the mirror, I could see our family forming before my eyes.  I could see our little curly headed pups running around. A daughter that looked just like Aria and a son that looked like me. Someone we would raise to be the best Alpha of his time.

I stood in awe of what we had created. A product of our complete and total love for one another. And in a few months, I would be holding a piece of me and Aria in my hands.

Before I could stop them, tears of joy started to stream down my face, and this time, it was Aria who wiped mine away as she repeated my words from earlier, "We've created life."

"We've got to tell them, Aria," I said as we drove towards her patents house.

It had been just over a week since we found out that Aria was pregnant, and she was already starting to show a bit. She hated it. She swore that she was getting fat, but in all honesty, I found it to be one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. I loved the thought that a piece of both of us was growing inside her.

[A/N: If you don't already know, in my books, werewolf pregnancy only lasts three and a half to four months. That's why she is showing after a little more than a week, although it is only slightly.]

"Not technically. I am eighteen years old as of a week and two days ago. Therefore, I can, legally, do whatever the hell I want," she said, crossing her arms over her chest and almost pouting.

I rolled my eyes at her as we pulled into the drive, parking beside Ryan's car. "Aria," I said, cutting the engine and looking over at her. "I know we don't have to, but they are your parents. They deserve to know."

Aria turned to look at me, eyebrows raised, "At the cost of your 'mini - me'," she questioned, looking at my crotch. "Because there is no doubt in my mind that my dad will castrate you."

The seriousness in her tone worried me slightly, but I stuck to my position, "We have to tell them," I said, taking her hand in mind and looking into her eyes. After a few moments of silence, she sighed and opened her door. I smiled, happy that I actually won this argument.

"Don't get used to it," she snipped playfully, picking up on my thoughts through the mate link. I laughed at her as we continued on into the house. "Mom, dad," Aria called out as she looked around the living room.

"In the kitchen, Aria," her mother called.

We walked in that direction to find her dad attempting to teach her mom how to cook...again. Avie had cooking ingredients smeared all over her and Collin was just staring at her lovingly.

"Mom, we've been through this..you aren't supposed to use kitchen utensils," Aria said, shaking her head. In any other situation, I would laugh. The only thing is that she was dead serious.

Avie rolled her eyes and put down the spatula, dusting the pancake mix off of her. "Oh whatever Aria. How are you Gaige," she said addressing me.

I smiled genuinely at her, "Better than ever," I said and wrapped my arms around Aria, resting my hands over her slowly growing belly.

Avie looked at me strangely and then down at my hands that were positioned protectively over Aria's stomach. She looked up at Aria questioningly and raised and eyebrow. "Surprise..." Aria said, nervously.

Slowly, a huge smile peeled across Avie's face. She clapped her hands and squealed, pulling Aria away from me and into her arms, "Oh! I can't wait to start buying baby clothes! And you have to buy furniture and paint..."

This is all your fault, Aria snapped half playfully through our mate link and I just chuckled.

Sorry, babydoll. I rolled my eyes as I listened to Avie talk. Eventually, my eyes shifted over to her dad, and noticed the death glare I was getting. I gulped and scratched the back of my head.

I'm in some deep shit, now.
