At the end of Chapter 4:  When Can returned to his office, he noticed the look of concern on Sanem's face right away. He went to her and drew her into the circle of his arms. He whispered in her ear, "What is your fear, my love? Your face is full of concern." He had a pretty good idea what was on her mind but wanted to make light of it. Her fears were unfounded but completely understandable. Given all that she had endured from Polen before, Can knew Sanem wanted to finally remove Polen completely from their lives. Sanem pulled back from Can so their eyes could meet. His eyes always told the truth. The look he returned was sincere, dark, needy, and full of love for her. Once again, Sanem knew that Can was hers and hers alone. But did Polen know this same truth?

With everything finished early, Can and Sanem headed out to relax at the cabin. Saying their goodbyes to everyone, they thanked them for their hard work. With the afternoon off, they could spend more alone time at the cabin. Sanem loved it there. It was very special to her. Although it had both good and bad memories, the cabin was where she felt the closest to Can. It was also a place where Can could just be himself and relax with no outside demands upon him. He was not a man of extravagance and the small cabin was testament to that. Sanem loved that about him.

Their drive to the cabin had been fairly quiet. Can knew Sanem was still dwelling on having learned it was Polen who had brought in the new clients to the Agency. He was going to make sure Sanem did not leave the cabin with any more doubts about how this had happened. He hoped as well that it really had been only a harmless suggestion from Polen to Mr. Aubert.

When they arrived, Can quickly started a fire, planning to cook some meat and vegetables over it. Eating a nice meal and relaxing together was his plan. Sanem gathered the blankets and the big pillows they were going to lay on. She spread everything out on the ground but not too close to the fire for the afternoon had become quite hot. She prepared the salad, grabbed the trays for them to eat on, and then stretched out on the blanket to watch Can. He took cooking on the brazier very seriously, tending to it diligently.

She loved to look at him but then thoughts of Polen snuck into her mind. It made her doubt Can's feelings for her and this was upsetting. Polen was always weaving her way into their lives. Even without her physical presence being there, Sanem still felt inept and second best. She had no idea why Polen made her feel that way.

Can turned to see her watching him and he knew that look. Sanem was comparing herself to Polen in her mind, trying to measure up. In his heart, there was nothing to compare. Sanem was much more in every way than Polen could ever be. The talk they would have later would definitively clear the air on that point.

The grilled meat and vegetables were delicious and they ate until they thought they would burst. Can cleared the dishes and plopped down on the blanket and pillows beside Sanem. She was already snuggled in and comfy but waiting for him. They snuggled together, close enough to feel their breath on each other's faces.

Sanem asked Can, "Why did Polen think you and she still had an ongoing relationship? Did more happen in London then what you told me?" Her eyes were pleading, sorrowful, and full of doubt.

Can hated that Sanem hurt this way and quickly answered, "Absolutely nothing happened in London, bebek. The closest Polen came to me was when they took that awful picture. I certainly didn't want it, but it happened so fast that I couldn't stop it. Trust me, Sanem. There is absolutely nothing between us and there never will be again. You have spoiled me for any other woman." He laughed and pinched Sanem's cheek then her nose. "Wipe that frown off your beautiful face, and let me hold you tight and devour you with kisses."

Sanem pushed Polen out of thoughts, forcing her out of her mind. She trusted Can but still something was telling her not to get too relaxed and to stay alert. She just felt Polen would try something. But now was their time to be alone together. Within minutes, Can was sleeping like a baby, wrapped in Sanem's arms with a smile on his face. She listened to his breathing. It was steady and smooth and hypnotized her. Soon she quickly fell asleep too.

They slept hard and better than they had in days. Can work up first and spent the minutes before Sanem woke up just looking at her. Filling himself with the sight of her. Letting her soothe his heart and soul. She did more to him than words could say. He would have never believed that love could feel like this. So satisfying. Like nothing else in the world mattered but her. Sanem stirred, feeling him looking at her. She smiled and moved in for a good morning kiss. Can covered her mouth with his in a passionate kiss. The overwhelming desire to make love to her sent a jolt through his body and almost overcame him. But he knew he had to stop because it wasn't the right time yet.

They both decided it was time to pack up and head back home. Can's desire to share his life with Sanem had grown into a necessity. This was becoming more and more evident to him as they closed up the cabin and prepared to leave.

He ran the options through his mind. First, he would talk to Nihat and hope he would agree to give him Sanem's hand in marriage. Next, he had to find the perfect ring. "Ok, it's a plan, I will talk to him soon," he said to himself. He was as excited as a schoolboy asking a girl to the dance for the first time. Just the idea had his stomach doing flip-flops. He could hardly wait to tell Emre but would not tell Leyla. She would give it away for sure.

As they drove home, Can was unusually happy. When Sanem happened to glance his way, she would see a silly little smile on his face. He had such a satisfied look on his face that she wondered what he was up to.

When they reached her house, Can had to deal with the what he hated the most, letting Sanem leave him. He held on to her hand and pressed multiple kisses on it. "Why do you always have to go home?" Can asked, with those eyes Sanem hardly break away from.

She smiled, "Can, you know it's hard on me too. But I can't possibly stay with you all night. My parents would be so upset." Her body felt very weak as Can moved closer to her, warming her with his eyes, and asked, "You know what would fix all of these problems, don't you?

Sanem could feel her face become flushed and her breathing quicken. Turning her head away, she chirped, "Can, don't say anything you might be sorry for later." she chirped.

Can looked at her intently, "What makes you think I would be sorry for anything like that? Don't you want it too? I can't seem to think about anything else. Just you and me together. That's all I need for the rest of my life."

She turned and looked into his eyes and saw the look of devotion and deep love reflected there. Can's look was so intense that it made her gasp. Was he really sure? Was she really sure? A field of butterflies erupted inside her and her skin tingled. Can waited for her to respond which she did with her own question. "Are you sure, Can? Are you positive beyond a doubt?"

Can answered, "Sanem Aydin. This is the only thing I've ever been sure of in my life. Yes, beyond any doubt in my mind. Yes, and positive of it in my heart!"
