<<How was school?>> My dad surprisingly asked not leaving the book he was reading as soon as I came home.

That made me look at him weirdly, as if like he ate something poisonous.

<<What?>> He asked removing his glasses.

<<Did you eat something weird today?>> I asked raising my eyebrow.

<<Is it that weird that I care for you?>> He asked me almost sad.

I looked at him then responded.

<<It was not bad.>> I said before going to my room.

My dad looked hurt for the first time im a while and that kinda made me feel guilty. Was I too harsh on him these past few years?

"Definitely not, he deserves that. He is going to get married again very soon."

That thought was powerful enough to make me forget the guilt that I felt just five seconds ago.

I can't believe he's going to replace mom.

I left all those thoughts to avoid some headache.
