<<What are you doing here?>> Shuhua asked Irene who suddenly showed up in front of her.

<<I was the one who taught you to go to the beach whenever you had problems. I can't believe you forgot that too.>> Irene said with a pouty face.

<<Oh yeah, sorry...>> The younger one said scratching her head.

<<Shuhua it's like you don't know me, I'm playing with you.>> Irene said laughing although she could sense that something was wrong with her friend.

<<Do you want to share your worries?>> The older one asked.

It wasn't easy for Shuhua to open up even if Irene was the only one who knew how the situation was.
She couldn't talk, something was stopping her from talking.

<<Is it about the invitation?>> Irene said which caught Shuhua dumbfounded.

<<You received it too?>> The Taiwanese asked surprised.

<<Really Shuhua? You're hurting my feelings.>> Irene said but apparently, the younger one didn't understand what her friend meant.

<<My father is your father's Korean bestie, the one and only.>>  Irene said crossing her fingers showing the closeness of the two men.

<<You're losing interest in me huh? And now I truly mean it.>> The older said disappointed.

<<My dad wants to announce his wedding this Saturday.>> The Taiwanese said spacing out.

"Holy shit" Irene thought to herself.

<<Does Soojin know that you know?>> Irene asked not knowing what to say anymore, and everything she received was a head shake from the younger.

<<What are you going to do now?>> Irene asked Shuhua worried.

<<Is there anything I can do? I don't think so...>> Shuhua said hopeless.

<<But you love her.>> Irene said firmly.

<<And even if I did? It doesn't change the fact that she's going to marry my dad, she loves him I can feel it and I can't do anything about it.>> Shuhua said hurt.

Shuhua's POV

The day has come. I woke up differently today, not wanting to do anything, as if everything is becoming heavy.

"Why did you come up with this plan if you're going to fall for her at the end? You're so stupid Yeh Shuhua." I thought on my way to the bathroom.

As soon as I opened the bathroom I saw someone I didn't expect to see this early, especially naked.

"What is she doing here this early? Oh yeah she's going to be my step mother."

<<Oh my God, I'm so sorry Unnie.>> I said covering my eyes, closing the door right away.

"Yeah, as if it's something I didn't see already." I thought.

I went back to my room, my heart was beating like crazy, but this time it hurts. It hurts because I don't know what to do, because I love her and at the same time I hate her. Unfortunately it will all remain unsaid.

Without knowing, I was spacing out for the umpteenth time until someone suddenly knocked at my door.

<<Who is it?>> I asked even though I knew who it was.
