Miyeon's POV

Today is Minnie's birthday, I've been preparing my gift for her since New Year, that's how much excited I am.

Minnie hasn't seen her family for about a year and a half now for various reasons, that's why I contacted her family long time ago to know if they could come for her birthday.

Our relationship is pretty good, not hiding from our parents, having both sides accept who we are and who we love, and sometimes I also think that our parents are more head over heels for their daughter in law than their own daughter, but that's good. Happy parents, happy life.

Finally the day has come. I rented a private villa in Jeju for two days. That was the place where me and her met for the first time before finding out that we were going to be attending the same school. It was also the place where we celebrated our first anniversary, and sharing our sweetest memories with our loved ones is great right? Well, not ALL the memories.

I got a text from Mac oppa, Minnie's brother.

Hey Miyeon, we just landed. •

• Hey Oppa, I got it. Take your time, I'll be waiting at the exit, the van is here too. •

As I was waiting for them to come out, I finally saw Minnie's family coming out from the airport and raised my hand since they were looking for me.

<<Hello, welcome to Korea.>> I said excitedly in English. I had to learn how to speak English since it was the only way I could communicate with her family. So far so good.

<<Hey sweetie.>> Her mom said with a warm voice.

<<Hello Miyeon.>> Her dad added.

<<Hello Mr. and Mrs. Yontararak>> I greeted them bowing.

<<Just call us Mom and Dad.>> Her mom said caressing my shoulder.

I widened my eyes, smiling awkwardly.

Thank God the twins noticed me.

<<Mom, don't do that. Miyeon might feel awkward.>> Mic oppa said causing me to smile at him in sign of gratitude.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate the idea of calling them Mom and Dad, it's just... I'm really really shy.

<<Oh ok, then how about Auntie and Uncle? It's like you're treating us as strangers, how sad.>> Her mom said pouting. Oh My God, she looks like Minnie doing aegyeo. How adorable.

<<Of course.>> I said smiling while scratching my head.

I texted Minnie while we were on our way to her place.

🐊: Hey...

🐁: Hey babe, are you ok?

🐊: I don't know... Are you home?

🐁: Yeah, is there something wrong? You want to come over?

🐊: Yeah, I'll be there in a few.

🐁: OK baby, I'll wait for you, I love you.

I didn't reply to keep things a little bit spicy.

Minnie's mom saw that I was smiling.

<<Did something good happen?>> She said while smiling.

<<I'm just excited for the surprise.>> I replied cheerfully.

<<Minnie is so lucky to have you.>> She lastly said which caused me to smile back.
