Later that evening, Davina and Harry laid on the messy bed in their room, which they had decided to call their Ephemeral, which meant lasting for a very short time. They found it in a book and had decided that this suited the safe haven best, seeing as they both knew deep down that the comfort and happiness inside this room would last for a very, very short time.

Harry's head was resting on Davina's stomach as he held a book at just the right angle for him and her both to read. Davina's fingers were laced up in his tousled midnight-sky colored hair as she ran her gaze across each word on the page. It was one of Harry's fictional quidditch books, but Davina didn't mind reading it with him — she found it funny how every time they would get to an interesting scene with a tense game Harry would always get fidgety and squeeze her thigh as he read on, full of excitement.

Harry flipped to the last page, and after reading the final sentence he threw the book down and shot upwards.

"Did you get to read that?! Oh my god!" He looked back at Davina who was holding back a laugh.

"Yeah, I read it,"

"He finally won the tournament! That was bloody brilliant!" Harry's face was glowing with enthusiasm, which seemed to reflect onto Davina's attitude as she smiled at him widely.

"I know," She nodded.

"That was wild," Harry said, leaning forward and taking Davina's face in his hands as he connected their lips.

"Mm," Harry pulled back, and a childish grin grew upon his expression. Davina quirked an eyebrow at him, "Let's find something fun to do," he said.

"Like?" Davina asked, slipping out from under the blankets and standing up with a stretch. She snatched the book off the bed and walked to the book shelf as she slid it back in place.

"I don't know, something thrilling, k'know? We've been in here all day," Harry came up behind her, letting his arms sneak their way around her waist as he leaned his head down and left soft kisses on her neck.

Davina smiled, twisting herself around as she looked at him, "Okay, Mr.Potter, let's go find something to get into." She took his hand and lead him out of the door. They knew no one was around, thanks to Harry's magical map.

Davina felt warm, full on life, she could feel her blood pumping through her veins and her heart alive and beating rapidly with love; and that was enough for her, being able to feel. To feel Harry's rough hand tightly squeezed in hers, to feel the air whipping across her skin and blowing her hair behind her shoulders as they ran down the hallway, to feel adrenaline lift her off her feet and highlight all her nerves — and, to especially feel the way her and Harry's souls were intertwined, the way they were connected.

Harry abruptly pushed Davina against the wall, their body's being pressed against one another. Low, heavy breaths mixing, and their chests rising and falling together.

"Harry—"

"Shh," He commanded, placing a finger to her lips. She silently looked over his shoulder as Professor Sprout passed by them and around the corner.

Harry let his hand leave her mouth, and Davina let out a sigh that slowly formed into a smile as Harry took her hand and led her out of the crevice to continue their rush down the corridor.

Davina didn't know where they we going, she didn't think Harry even knew where he was going. All she knew was that she loved the way she felt in this moment, the way the real world had vanished and the way that all her problems where left behind her, waiting for her to pick them back up and place them back on her shoulders to become crushed under them again — and, she knew she would eventually, but she still had until Monday to do so, so she was going to make the best out of the little time she had with the only person that made her feel whole.

Which meant Davina didn't care when Harry's idea of 'fun' and 'thrilling' was to sneak into the kitchens and eat all they could store in their already-full stomachs, but she was really surprised when Harry lead her to the Great Hall, wiping crumbs off the corner of his mouth and snuck up to Dumbledore's chair.

"What're we doing here?" She asked, looking down at the chair between both of them and then moving her eyes to gaze up at Harry.

"We're gonna enchant Dumbledore's chair," Harry grinned, leaning back against the Professor table.

"Can I?" Davina smiled, and she had already pulled out her wand before Harry even had the chance to nod. She knelt down at the bottom of the chair, and whispered, "Engorgio,"

Stepping back, Davina watched as the chair suddenly doubled in size, and continued to grow larger until it was at as tall as two of Hagrid. She grinned and looked over at Harry, who was reflecting her expression.

"Woah," He muttered.

"So now wha—"

The sudden echo of wood hitting brick ricocheted throughout the Great Hall, and standing in the doorway was Professor McGonagall, wearing her usual stone cold, stern expression upon her face.

Harry grabbed Davina's hand with a chuckle, and bolted for the right side of the room as McGonagall started her path up the center. They ran down the side of the Slytherin table, rushing towards the doors as McGonagall threw a spell in their direction which Davina instantly shielding without so much as glancing at the older witch.

Harry stole a split second to gaze at Davina in awe, before she pulled him out the gigantic double doors and apparated them to their room, hidden in plain sight inside the Gryffindor tower. As they landed on the ground, Davina felt the chocolate cake from their trip to the kitchens churn in her stomach and threaten to leap out her throat, but it went away quickly as she steadied her balance.

"That was incredible," Harry said as he stared at Davina.

"Dear Salazar, I know you haven't had that much of a boring time this year, Harry, it was just a chair—"

"Not the bloody chair! The way you blocked McGonagall! That was amazing," He said in complete admiration.

Davina felt her cheeks grow hot, and smiled as she shrugged, "I mean I think surviving the greatest dark wizard of all time tops me simply throwing up a magically shield, but if you say so, Potter,"

"I mean, it was still pretty bad ass," He noted, taking her hand and flopping down on the bed with her. He propped his head up on his hand as he stared at Davina, who was beside him but staring up at the ceiling.

She turned her head in his direction, "I love you, Harry,"

"I love you so much more, Davina,"
