Davina was in the tent with the other competitors, dressed in her dark green and silver uniform with Malfoy in Slytherin green on the back. She had been told by Fleur, shocking as it is, that the first task involved dragons. So, she knew what to expect. Her father had argued with Dumbledore for hours about taking her out, but there wasn't any use in it, and so here she was. The tent was silent, all five of them filled with nervousness, of course. Davina could hear the loud crowds outside as she pulled on her black gloves.
She glanced over, seeing Potter and Granger hug tightly. She felt a sharp pain in her chest, like she'd just been stabbed. She didn't like thinking about Potter like that, so she told herself it was hatred instead. A camera flashed and Davina glanced over to see Rita Skeeter.
"Young love," Rita said. Davina felt like she wanted to throw up, she didn't know if it was because of Potter or the fact that she was about to battle a dragon. She went with the latter.
"How.. stirring. If everything goes unfortunately today you two may even make the front page!" Rita went on as she adjusted her glasses.
"You have no business here. This tent is for champions, and friends." Krum said, sending Rota away with a flash of her camera.
"Good day champions. Now, you've waited, you've wondered, and at last the moment has arrived. A moment only five of you can fully appreciate," Dumbledore walked, speaking like a book of riddles as he always does. He sent Granger away and the order Mr. Crouch to present a bag.
"Champions, in a circle around me," Crouch instructed as he moved them around to where he wanted them, placing Davina in between Harry and Cedric.
Davina watched as Fleur flinched and then pulled out a tiny green dragon, also known as the Welsh Green. Krum picked up the Chinese Fireball, Cedric grabbed the Swedish Short-Snout, and then it was Davina's turn.
She reached into the bag and felt stinging hot fire get shot at her hand but she didn't even flinch as she pulled out the tiny dragon, the Peruvian Vipertooth. She knew that the Vipertooth was one of the smallest kinds of dragons, but one easily one of the most deadly — Vipertooths were responsible for the outbreak of the Dragon Pox disease. They were also remarkably stealthy, had venomous fangs, and were the fastest of all dragons.
She watched as Mr. Crouch's eyes widened and then he looked away and moved to Potter, who pulled out the Hungarian Horntail.
"These represent five very real dragons, each of which has been given a golden egg to protect. Your objective is simple: collect the egg. This you must do, for each egg contains a clue without which you cannot hope to proceed to the next task. Any questions?" Mr. Crouch said as he looked between the five of the champions. Davina knew what she was going to do, but that didn't stop her stomach from tightening into knots.
"Very well. Good luck, champions." Dumbledore said, "Mr. Diggory, at the sound of the cannon, you may—" Before Dumbledore could continue his instructions, the cannon went off, shaking the whole tent. Cedric stepped forward and gulped as the crowd chanted for him. Davina watched as he walked out.
Time passed, and Davina watched as it slowly became her turn. It was just her and Harry in the tent for a long while, but they simply sat in silence, not awkward silence, though.
"Good luck," Harry said, causing Davina to look back at him as she stood up. She was still mad at him for what he said, but she couldn't seem to control it as she stared in his bright green eyes and gave him a small smile.
"Thanks, Potter." She looked away and walked out.
Davina walked through what, at first, looked like a cave, until she came to the opening and saw the 15 foot long copper-colored dragon waiting for her. The Slytherin section which was dressed in the green and silver colors of their house chanted her name as she came into view. She spotted Draco and he gave her a nod, although his face seemed to be paler than usual.
The crowd went silent as Davina spotted the egg and made her move. The Vipertooth's tail came swishing through the air, crashing into the rocks and causing them to tumble down as Davina jumped out of the way and caught herself before falling completely. She held tightly onto her jet black wand and ran down the slope and behind a boulder as fire shot out of the dragon's mouth.
The dragon flew into the air and brought its tail swishing down again as it hit Davina and sent her flying through the air. The crowd erupted in gasps as she loudly roughly onto the rocks. She felt throbbing sensation in her cheek and rubbed it, when she looked down at her hand she saw the bright red blood on her fingers. She looked back down and saw the rigid rock her face landed on, forming the cut on her cheek. It didn't hurt and she didn't act like a crybaby over it, instead she got up and dodged another shot of fire, flattening herself against a boulder as the dragon flew towards her once more.
She raised up and flicked her wand, yelling out the incantation for a spell that sent the dragon to stumble backwards as huffs of smoke came from its nostrils, causing it to be under a dizzy-spell. Davina stood up and bolted for the egg and grabbed it.
Harry's turn came, and he got the egg as well, although it was quite a challenge.

Time went by and now Davina was sitting in the Hall at the Slytherin table, responding to people's questions about the dragon as if they all didn't watch it. She had butterfly stitches on the cut she got during the task but that was about it for 'wounds'.
She looked over in Harry's direction as she heard him raise his voice a little, "Is there a bonnet? Aha!"
and saw Ron Weasley holding up some old-fashioned dress robes that looked like a dress. She snickered and nudged Draco as they saw him frown in horror at the idea of wearing that."Wait why does he have dress robes for?" Davina asked and looked over at Draco.
"The Yule Ball, doofus," Draco said and rolled his eyes. Davina sighed and looked back at Harry, hating the voice in the back of her that was questioning who he'd ask.
