When Davina had woken up she was in the hospital wing of Hogwarts. Madam Pomfrey had used a healing spell although Davina was still left being quite sore. She was being released today and Draco was by her side as she climbed out of the bed. He walked with her to the Slytherin common room and then she went up to her dormitory. Jasmine ran over to her."Malfoy, you scared the Merlin out of me, what happened?" Davina felt her staring as she turned her back to Jas, knowing she was going to have to answer her at some point.
"I'm fine," Is all Davina could seem to muster up in response, she didn't feel like talking. Instead she brushed out her platinum hair and grabbed her uniform. She passed Jasmine and stepped into the bathroom that was connected to their room, shutting the door behind her.
Once she had changed into her uniform she walked out of the girls dormitories and met with Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle. Jasmine caught up with her and Davina finished adjusting her silver and green tie. The whole Slytherin house followed the house prefects and then they all took a seat in the Great Hall which had been rearranged so that there were multiple benches facing Dumbledore who sat in the front of all the students.
"Today, we acknowledge a really terrible loss. Cedric Diggory was, as you all know exceptionally hard-working, infinitely fair-minded, and, most importantly a fierce, fierce friend." Dumbledore looked upon all the students, Davina looked down at her hands in her lap, she could've saved him. If she wouldn't be so foolish, he could be here right now. She had her wand, it all happened so quick but she could've been quicker. She should've been quicker.
"Now, I think, therefore, you have the right to know exactly how he died." Dumbledore continued, "You see, Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort. The Ministry of Magic does not wish me to tell you this, but not to do so, I think, would be an insult to his memory." Davina looked over at Harry who returned the glance, she hadn't seen him since she fainted. As he looked away, so did Davina.
"Now, the pain we all feel at this dreadful loss reminds me and reminds us that while we may come from different places and speak in different tongues our hearts beat as one," Dumbledore continued, "In light of recent events, the bonds of friendship we've made this year will be more important than ever. Remember that, and Cedric Diggory will not have died in vain. You remember that, and we'll celebrate a boy who was kind and honest, and brave and true, right to the very end."

Davina sat in the common room, staring at the crackling fire. There were students rushing in and out, it was almost time to leave. Davina couldn't tell if she needed to get away for the summer, or if she'd be better off staying here. It's not like she had a choice, though. She never has. Someone came up behind her and she looked back, shocked to see Dumbledore standing there with a warm smile on his face.
"You know, I used to stay up and stare at the fire in my common room. I would practice spells on it," He said as he came around the corner and sat beside her, "Davina, I want you to know that Cedric Diggory's death is not your fault, nor is it Harry's. If either of you could have saved him, you would have. That guilt can only do two things; eat you alive and drag you to the bottom with it, or be acknowledged and push you forward. Don't dwell on the what if's. Live life to the fullest, for not only yourself and your family, but for the boy that is now watching over you and Harry."

Davina walked through the crowds of students as she spotted the group of silky dressed women. She reached them and Fleur looked over at her. When Davina had went to Beauxbatons Academy her and Fleur had started off as best friends, she never understood why they started a rivalry between one another. As Fleur cleared her throat, her two best friends walked away gracefully and Davina smiled a little.
"Friends?" She asked, holding her hand out.
"Friends." Fleur smiled back, and instead of shaking her hand, pulled Davina into a small hug.
Davina stood with everyone else, cheering as the other schools walked down the hall to their ships or carriages. Her attention was drawn away as Harry jumped up behind her, slipping through the space of the wall and standing beside her. She looked over and smiled.
"Do you think I'll ever just have a quiet year at Hogwarts?" He asked and she laughed.
"No, not at all. But, Oh well. What's life without a few dragons, eh, Potter?" She started to walk away from him but paused, looking back long enough to wink at him. And with that, she was gone.

Davina and Draco arrived at the Malfoy Manor, and she could only imagine what would happen once they got inside. Their mother had come and got them, so that means they had their father waiting for them, most likely with steam rolling out of his ears.
Davina pushed opened the big doors and stepped inside the dimly lit mansion. She looked around and then saw her father waiting on the stairs. She walked over and he looked down at her.
"Did Potter say anything about the Death Eaters being there?" He asked, completely looking over the fact that she was stabbed by one of his buddies. Needless to say, Voldemort had taken care of his rebellious follower, but when it came to situations like this her father never wanted to admitted he cared. That's if he even did at all. It'd be nice if he'd at least pretend, though.
"No, father. He only told Dumbledore that you-know-who was back." It wasn't that Davina was scared to say his name, after facing him it seemed pointless to continue this whole scaredy-cat attitude, but she knew if she dare to say it her father would throw more than a tantrum.
"Good, you two go along now," He motioned for Davina and Draco to go upstairs, and so they did. She could hear her father and mother's muffled conversation behind them, but she had learned to block them out. Davina sat her stuff in room and then sat down on her perfectly made bed. She was about to stretch out when a folded piece of paper that was shaped into a little butterfly came into her room and she reached up and grabbed it.
Balcony – D.M
Davina smiled and tossed the paper down as she took off towards her and Draco's favorite part of their whole mansion, the balcony. She stepped out onto the platform and looked at him as he stood with his arms on the banister, propping himself up as he looked around. She joined him, looking out at the mountains that were miles and miles away, the setting sun painting the sky in pastel colors. And, as she was taking in the gorgeously colored sky, she could've swore there was more yellow than any other color.
