                                                                     Chapter 12

Somehow his plan had backfired again this time, with the direst of consequences.  Aubrey had been missing for nearly six weeks.  No one had seen or heard from her since the day after she'd had coffee with Tei and Lottie.  She quit showing up for work, took a bag and left the apartment she shared with her cousin with no word as to where she was going.  He had gone to Samuel’s to see if, perhaps, their relationship had intensified.  It hadn’t.  Though, apparently she had wanted it to according to Samuel.  She had left the club like a bat out of hell when he found out that Samuel knew about Ethan.

His Bree was in the wind and all he could do was hope that she was willing and able to find her way home.

He’d had his ear to the ground for some time checking all of his contacts to see if anyone had taken on a new sub matching Aubrey’s description.  No one had.

Right after her disappearance he’d had a long conversation with Lottie and Tei.  He had asked them to go over their conversation word for word.  Based on what they said he couldn’t really see anything that would have caused her to go over the edge.    It seemed to have been a pretty basic question and answer session.  She had apparently left the building quite abruptly with no indication as to why.

He felt helpless, he had decided to do some foot work today and was headed to the only other BDSM club in the area.  He shuddered to think of Aubrey in a place like The Forge.  He stepped inside the small dark club.  The woman behind the bar came to attention as he stepped inside.

“How may this girl serve you, Sir?” she asked quietly.

He produced the photo that Cheryl had provided.  He had enlisted her help about a week after Aubrey’s disappearance.  He didn’t tell Cheryl that he may be able to explore avenue’s that she would not have had access to.  She hadn’t asked any questions just provided the photo thankful for any additional help.

The woman studied the photo biting at her lip.  She looked up at Ethan then cast her eyes down.

“I’ve seen her in here a few times now, Sir.  Most recently about two weeks ago.”

“You have? Two weeks?  Did she look well, was she with someone?”

The woman’s face fell and she shook her head stepping back from the edge of the counter.

“I’m sorry Sir, but I can’t discuss other customers.”

He slammed his hand on the bar and leaned towards her menacingly, throwing all of the practiced Dominance into his voice he could muster.

“girl, you will tell me what I need to know.”

Her body was shaking like a leaf and she fell to her knees placing her forehead against the floor.

“this one is sorry, Sir.  I cannot my Master would punish me most severely.”

“I would speak with him, is he here?”

“No sir, perhaps I could have him call you.”

He left his number with the girl and headed back out.  The air was crisp and cool tonight calming his temper.  He was close.  Soon, he would find her and at the very least make sure she was safe and happy.

Several hours later his phone rang.  He picked it up.

“Ethan Zorne.”

“Mr. Zorne, this is Sebastian, I run The Forge.  You gave my girl quite a fright today.  She said you were looking for someone.”
