Noya POV

"SUGAMAMA IS YOUR BROTHER?!?!?" Tanaka shouted at Y/n as everyone else sat there shocked.

"Wow..." Kageyama trailed off.

"I thought it would be Daichi." Tsukki pushed his glasses up, the frames reflecting the light. "Because he was the only one you seemed to not be scared of the first day."

Y/n flinched. "Yeah, about that..." She looked to her brother, asking permission.

"Yeah, um," Suga scratched the back of his head, flashing a closed eye smile at everyone. "She's met Daichi quite a few times before."

"Because you're dating." Noya chuckled behind his hand, half amused, half amazed that Y/n just put that out in the open. Of course they all already knew, but it was funny nonetheless. What was even funnier was their captain and vice-captain's reactions.

"I-wha- I-" The older Sugawara spluttered, bright red.

"Yeah." Daichi smiled at everyone, scooting across the circle to grab Y/n, bringing her in to a group hug with him and Suga. Nishinoya felt a pang of jealousy again, and decided to have a group hug.

"GROUP HUG!" He shouted, jumping in. "Can I be part of the family too?" He gave them his best puppy dog eyes.

"Hmm..." Daichi pondered. "Well, If Suga and I are the parents, and Y/n's our child," She gave a little 'harrumph' at that, " then I suppose you'd have to marry into the family." He smiled. "Y/n?"

"I- what the hell Daichi?!" She swatted his arm, glaring at him.

"Payback." He just whispered in her ear, and grabbed her hand, placing it on Noya's.

"Well," the shorter boy stood up, Y/n hand in his. "That's fine by me." He helped her up, and his lips ghosted over the back of her hand as he brushed a light kiss to it.

"Ugh, Nishi, you flirt." She laughed, and went to sit back down in her spot in the circle, Noya sitting down next to her, grinning. He'd never admit it out loud, but he was glad that Daichi wouldn't kill him if he admitted that he thought Y/n was cute. Also, he was happy he managed to flirt with her and she didn't slap him.

"So." Her melodic voice cut through his thoughts. "Anyone else have some big secret to tell everyone?" Was it just him, or was she eyeballing Kageyama and Hinata?

"Yeah." Noya's head whipped around to see the last person he expected to speak up. Tsukki scratched the back of his head, looking slightly benevolent, which did not fit what he said next.

"I hoped the weirdos would sort stuff out in there, maybe even hook up so I wouldn't have to hear them bickering all the time." The benevolent act dropped, and he smirked at the furious boys across from him.

"I-"

"What the hell, you dumbass-" The two first years were a blushing mess, unable to form coherent sentences. Noya watched Y/n tilt her head at them, as if she were able to read their minds and was thinking about what she'd seen in there. She seemed to have gone back to her 'quiet shy' self.

"Um, Tsukki?" Tadashi's hesitant voice proved to be the tangerine and the blueberry's salvation.

"ANYWAY." Kageyama shouted over all the noise, "PRACTICE SHOULD BE ENDING SOON RIGHT." He started pushing Hinata out the door, and everyone looked to the clock on the wall.

"Oh shoot, he's right!" Daichi scrambled up, and Koshi tumbled out of his lap. "Sorry Suga."

Everyone started to get up, grabbing their stuff. It was weird not to have to pack up.

"Hang on, how is this a party if we didn't have fooooood?" Tanaka whined, as usual thinking with his stomach.

They trudged out the door, Hinata and Kageyama the last to trail from the room, before stopping. Y/n turned around at the sudden stop of footsteps, and Sugawara who was walking next to her paused as well. They could barely make out an exchanging of words between the two.

"Hey, Kageyama. Come set for me."

"Sure." The lights in the gym turned back on, and the screech of shoes on the gym floor echoed through the still silence of the early evening, echoing through Y/n head, along with the curious lack of 'dumbass'. She poked her head around the door, as her older brother sat down, pulling his homework out of his backpack and grabbing a pen, his back resting against the wall of the gym.

"Hey guys, isn't it a bit late to be practicing?" Hinata was tying up the net as Kageyama pushed a bag of volleyballs across the court.

"Oh, hey! Y/n! Can you toss some for us please?"

Time skip

Stripes of bloody orange sliced across the sky, but even those were beginning to fade to pink as night descended, and dark started to creep in around the Karasuno High school gym.

"Thank you, Y/n for helping us!" Hinata grinned at her, and Kageyama bowed.

"Yeah, uh, thank you." She bowed back to them, thanking them for letting her join in, and she helped them pack up.

"Finally, I thought you guys would never finish up!" Sugawara Senior's smiling face popped into view from the other side of a window, and everyone jumped.

"What are you still doing here Koshi?" Y/n ran out and hugged him.

"I am supposed to be taking care of you while you're at school, right?" He hugged her back, patting her head.

"Sorry!" She turned back to the gym. "You guys okay to finish packing up by yourselves?" The two first years nodded, and she turned back to her brother.

"Ugghhh I'm going to have to skip music practice tonight. And I have to get up early. Let's go." She took her brother's hand and they started off, walking back home.
