Koshi POV :D

When I woke up Y/n was still in her studio. It sounded like she'd been dancing since her nightmare.

"Y/n?" I knocked on the door, pushing it open slightly.

"Hey Koshi-chan." I heard the music stop, and Y/n pulled the door open. She was still in her dance-wear from earlier, and a light sheen of sweat glistened over her arms and forehead. She grabbed a towel from the rack next to the door and wiped her brow, breathing heavily.

"I- okay, I have nothing to say except to tell you you need to take better care of yourself. It looks like you've been dancing non-stop for over 3 hours now, and you haven't had any good quality sleep." I shook my head, before patting hers.

"Sorry." She placed the towel back on the rack, before thinking better of it. "I'm going to go shower, just let me put this in the laundry." She scurried past me and I watched her go.

What am I going to do with that girl.

Third Person POV but wherever Noya is :D

Nishinoya got to practice early, hoping to maybe, casually spend time with the Suga siblings, as he'd dubbed them. It might be nice to get some advice from Koshi, and-

Ugh, this was too hard. Thankfully, exactly the person he wanted to see's voice broke through his thoughts, jolting him back to reality.

"Hey Noya! What're you doing here so early?" Well, close enough. If he was being honest with himself, (which he didn't want to be) he was hoping to see Sugawara Senior because he wanted to see his sister.

"Oh hey Suga!" He turned around to face his senpai, a grin plastered on his face. No-one had to know it was fake.

"I mean, um, older Sugawara? This is kind of confusing-"

"It's okay, Y/n prefers to be called by her first name anyway." Suga smiled back at him, before taking in his kohai's expression.

"You okay Noya?" Shoot. He should have known- Suga was basically the mum of the group. Must be motherly instincts that could tell.

"Might just be motherly instincts but I don't think that smile is real." Sugawara walked over to him, unlocking the gym door they were standing next to.

"How did you do that?!"

"Do what?"

"Read my freaking mind?"

"Oh." He laughed. "Um..." The silver haired male was cut off by Nishinoya hugging him. To his surprise he felt moisture seep through his shirt. Immediately, he wrapped his arms around the younger boy, pulling him close. Right now, Noya didn't want empty words of comfort, or praise, he just needed to know someone would be there. He didn't want to fight everything on his own anymore.

Sure, volleyball was one thing. He knew he'd always have 5 people backing him up on the court, and more cheering for him. But with everything else he had to keep secret from them, it became too much. Even for his other extracurricular activity, he was just a solitary figure standing alone in the spotlight.

Y/n POV

Today was the day. Asahi, that sounded cheesy. Why does my brain always think like I'm in some book or something? Y/n kicked a pebble as she walked through the gates of Karasuno high. I can do this. I've been dancing my whole life. But so might any second years who try out, and they have an extra year of life. Ahhhhhh why can't I just be confident in myself for once? She looked up, and just in time to see a metal door.

Shoot. She'd walked to the second gym. She quickly scurried out of sight, retracing her steps, running across the greenspace to the dance studio. She hadn't realised just how close to the gymnasium where the boys' volleyball team practiced it was.

"You must be Y/n?" She pushed open the door, greeted with the sight of around 15 girls in tiny shorts and sports bras. She didn't know how on earth they could wear something so revealing with so many people around. Her own dance-wear consisted of a f/c tight-fitting t-shirt where the sleeves cut off just under her shoulder and black 3/4 length black tights. Simple and easy.

She nodded. "So you're here for the second lot of dance captain trials? No-one showed up yesterday, and today most of the troupe is here." She gestured to the girls behind her.

"There are three people today aiming for the role of captain. You're the only first year." She sneered at her, and Y/n felt a lot less sure about her wanting to dance with others.

"Not all the people who joined this year are as ambitious as you." Y/n flinched. "If you can beat me, and Stacey," she pointed to a girl with long, sleek blond hair pulled up into a high ponytail standing there with a smirk plastered on what looked like a very arrogant face, "Then you're the new dance captain."

"I've been here in the dance club at Karasuno high for a year already, and you're a newbie so good luck, I'm sure you'll need it." Y/n couldn't help the tiny smile that tugged at the corner her lips.

"Okay." She went and set her bag down in the corner, before stretching and warming up. As she was finishing, a teacher walked through the door. Or who she assumed was the dance co-ordinator. She just had an air of confidence about her, the kind that Y/n had always recognised in ballet teachers. She had shiny black hair that hung half way down her back, and she was slightly short in stature, she looked like she could be half-Egyptian. There was this sort of foreign beauty about her, as she walked in with a delicate smile gracing her features.

"Hello girls! I'm Miss Sophie. I'm the dance teacher at Karasuno. I see we have some new girls? Okay, I'm going to quickly go over the rules. 1. We are all a team now. Yes, I'll be choosing some of you for solos, and you might be doing separate dance out of school but we dance together as a team at competitions okay?" Everyone nodded and she grinned.

"2. There is no age-based hierarchy in this art, so Y/n darling, I'm not going to mark you down on our dance off today because you're a first year." She winked, and Y/n could already tell she was going to like her.

"3. Dance is an art, a sport, whatever you want to call it where you can set yourself free and let your emotions out without having to say a word. You can make an audience so joyous they want to dance with you, or you can make them cry. A good dancer can do both. So, have fun and your audience will too." She smiled around at them once more, the smile only fading when her eyes found the girl who had greeted Y/n rolling her eyes.

"Olivia, I expect you to be nice to the first years. Just because you've spent a year in the team doesn't make you a better dancer then some people here. Who knows, you might lose the dance off to Y/n!" She shot a stern look at her.

"Speaking of which," she continued once the condescending look faded of 'Olivia's face, she gathered everyone around in a circle, "We're going to go around in a circle and learn everyone's names and years. Then we'll go ahead with our little competition."

Wow, I never imagined I'd get 10 reads, let alone 75 xD
