Things Not going Too Well

Daoming Si could not wait for the morning lessons to be finished.

Once the bell rang, he sighed " at last! ".

"You're off on your own again? " Ximen guessed.

"Yup, sorry mates. Duty calls! " AhSi smirked , " It's not that I abandon you, but I'm sure you all managed without me for one day, haha ! "

" hey, you have abandon us for a week now! Where you are going? Don't tell me you're ditch us for that petite girl ?" accused MeiZuo.

" I am not ditching anyone ! I only doing some good deed. Some people needed me more than you are. You should be pleased to see me being a Good Samaritan. Okay, guys see you later ".

" Good deed, my foot !" Yelled MeiZuo.

"Hi Shancai, hi XiaYou, shall we go to the usual bench now? "

" hi Daoming —AhSi , how are you? " XiaYou said.

" me, good! Thanks, let's go! "

They walked together to their usual spot. Soon they  reach to the place which less crowded with students during lunch break they sat at their favourite bench. AhSi handed them the lunch boxes Mr Chu prepared for them. 

Shancai and XiaYou opened the box , both squealing "wow Very nice! Thanks AhSi"

The boxes containing, Salmon Sushi, prawn tempura, Thai fish cakes and selection of mini square pretty fruit desserts. 

"AhSi, you make my salad lunch sad, not very un-appealing !" Shouted XiaYou.

"You want me to eat it, so your salad won't feel bad? Shancai knows I eat anything! " Daoming Si offered genuinely.

"Oh no no, it's okay. I'll having for my dinner later at home". XiaYou responded embarrased.

" anyway,  AhSi thanks for looking after my bestie Shancai".

"you're welcome. But no problem at all, it's my pleasure. She's really is very easy to care for... not cause any trouble and always obedient ", he chuckled glanced at Shancai.

Shancai giving him an annoyed meaningful look. Daoming Si laughing so hard.

"Hey , what happening here? Did I miss something? " puzzled XiaYou.

"Not at all. AhSi, just making un-funny jokes ! " explained Shancai. 

Daoming Si keep chuckled again.

"And how is your brother? I heard from Shancai he is unwell ". asked Daoming Si tried to be friendly. I can do friendly, if I want to. 

" oh, he's getting better, thanks for your concern.  Shancai said, she want to visit him at my house tomorrow, but I said no, she doesn't need to ".

" well, I'd like to, you know, Lin is just like my brother too. " Shancai told XiaYou in earnestly.

"Yes, I know. But you just getting better yourself, Shancai.  I'll give him your sweet regards instead, he would be happy, very happy indeed, in fact he probably getting better instantaneous! ". XiaYou laughing mischievously.

" hey, what's you mean-by that. He is like my brother, because he treats me like his sister too". Shancai responded after realising what XiaYou implying.

Daoming Si started feeling uncomfortable and he didn't like this talking about Xiaoyou's brother too much. He pretended to busying himself by looking at his phone, when he saw 5 missed calls from Ximen and MeiZuo and lots messages. He always silence his phone during classes and obviously he hasn't turn it on the volume back again.

He opened the message first;

*Bro , where are you?

*where r u?

*AhSi , answered your phone!

*YuanZi here! She is not happy.

Daoming Si face frowning. This is disaster!

That girl's name hasn't been mentioned for days, he had forgotten about her. Ximen said she's here. Here? At school? What she wants now?

Didn't I make it clear, I am NOT interested in doing what was my mother suggesting at all.

He is conflicting whether to ring Ximen or not. He's afraid that that girl still there. He's really not in the mood for any confrontation at this moment.

For certain, he just not fancy to see her at all.

He then switched off his phone. I'll deal with this later.

"Are you okay, AhSi? " Shancai suddenly noticed the changing mood in his face.

He's nodding vaguely.

"Something happened? Bad news? I saw you're frowning ...."

" nah, it's fine. " he faked a smile.

He feels he can't tell her what happened, not now especially with XiaYou around. She's a good friend, but he is just can not opening up to just a good friend. He's a private person. It's makes him wonder, why he can talk freely and openly to Shancai quickly and easily but not to XiaYou. What's the difference between girls.

Strange, he thought.

They talked about the baking club which Shancai missed last Wednesday and make plan what to bake next week. Just very casual topics, but it's pleasant. They finished their lunch and bid goodbye. 

"I'll see you after school." said Daoming Si.

She just nodded.

Shancai knew something not quite right with Daoming Si, but she wouldn't dare to ask. It's not my place. If he wants to talk to me, he will.

"AhSi!!"

"Where the hell you'd been? "

"Why you didn't answer your phone? "

"Your girlfriend absolutely mad !"

"She came to school and turned up at the cafeteria and demanded us to tell you where you were"

"She made such a scene, haha you know how she is ", MeiZuo laughed nervously .

"why you switched off your phone? I saw you read my messages, AhSi"questioned Ximen

"If you have domestic quarrel with your girlfriend, you better sorted ! Before turn ugly.".

Daoming Si glared at them, answered in short, " I told you, I don't have girlfriend! "

 he shouted, pissed off.

"I don't have anything to explain to her and to anyone at all. ".  he stated.

"Well, then bro. You clearly has a problem here." said Ximen.

"He Yuanzi came and demanding an answer, see this ! " Ximen showing his phone.

It was a Weibo post with his picture yesterday sat at the cafeteria with Shancai with the caption

 " Daoming Si being too sweet with Dong Shancai, thought he has a model girlfriend?"

" .... apparently they tagged He YuanZi. That's why she knew and got so mad ".

"Bro, you got a lots explaining to do."
