"Pretty girl pretty girl" i said as i nuzzled my nose against serenity's making her giggle. "Pretty girl pretty girl!" i repeated doing the same again.

having a daughter was honestly amazing.

like i love sekani with everything in me. he's my first born.

but there's just something about having your own lil princess..

and she looks like the perfect mix of me and janay. she's got my nose and lips and janay's eyes.

she's perfect.

"Peek-a-boo!" i uncovered my eyes hearing her giggles increase as she reached for me. "baby come here!" i yelled for Janay.

"pop i need help! come in here!" she yelled from the kitchen.

"ima be right back, princess. watch your show" i told Ren before heading to the kitchen but she began to cry making me chuckle and shake my head.

she cried loudly as she reached for me while i walked back over to her. she was throwing a whole fit 😂.

"i'm right here, Baby" i laughed picking her up and rocking her to try and calm her down. "Mmcht, you just wanted to be picked up" i shook my head at how she held my finger in her little hands.

i swear she loves me so much. definitely a daddy's girl.

"whatchu' need?" i asked walking into the kitchen seeing janay was cooking with amiri sitting on the counter watching her.

"Can you stir this? i have to go to the bathroom but i can't just leave it-"

"i got you. go" she nodded and headed out the kitchen while i stirred the soup. "You good?" i asked miri.

"i'm okay, dada" he sighed making me furrow my eyebrows and turn to him.

"what's wrong? why you sighing?"

"nothing, da" he got off the counter. "Play?"

"yea in a minute just let me stir this for mommy" i turned back to the pot.

"ahjfjga" Serenity tried to say making me laugh and look down at the drool coming from her mouth as she smiled up at me.

"You gon talk so much when you older" i wiped her mouth with a paper towel and ran my finger over her cheek. "You tired yet, mama? you've been up for awhile"

"thank you" Janay came back into the kitchen and kissed my cheek. "she needs sleep"

"i'm about to go put her down for a nap. ima be back" she nodded and i headed out the kitchen and upstairs to where her nursery was. "okay let's make this quick, princess" i said sitting on the chair and rocking her as she continued to stare up at me.

i put her in her crib so i could slide my shirt off and once i did, i held her again and began rocking her again.

"i swear i'll never let anything happen to you, Babygirl. nothing and nobody finna keep me from you as long as you live, ight'? i promise you that much" i kissed her hand.

going back into the living room, i saw that janay was laying on the couch while a movie played on the tv.

"all the kids sleep?"

"yea. miri's coming tho" looking behind me, i saw him coming down the stairs.

"grrrr" i growled, seeing that he was wearing his dinosaur onesie.

he walked past me making me furrow my eyebrows as he laid against janay.

"what movie we watching?" i asked sitting next to janay and putting my arm around her.

"toy story" i chuckled and nodded. "Miri why don't you go sleep over by daddy? i'm still hurting" she sighed and he looked up at her.

"really?" he frowned and janay looked at me.

"why wouldn't you be able to?"

"Sissy" he said lowly making me sigh.

"come here" i pulled him onto my lap. "i'm sorry i made you feel like that. with your brother and sister here, things have been hard and mommys needed all the help she can get. They don't know how to walk or talk or really do anything, miri. you can"

"b-but you never play with me anymore" he stuttered as a tear slipped from his eye.

"i know.. and i'm sorry. i'm trying to balance everything but it's just hard right now"

"baby i promise you as soon as we're settled, it'll all get better" janay wiped his tears.

"how about we go out tomorrow and have an us day? just me and you"  i asked and he looked at janay.

"r-really?" i nodded.

"Just amiri and pop" i chuckled and he smiled and nodded making me smile. "come here. stop crying, man. ion like seeing you like this" i pulled him into a hug and he wrapped his arms around my neck. "i love you, Miri. i swear ima always be here for you"

"pop i have a meeting tomorrow" janay said and i waved her off

"we got Xi or my mama. it'll be fine" she nodded and amiri pulled away. "you, sekani, serenity, and your mom are all my reasons to live and die, miri. i'll never walk out on y'all"

"moose?" i chuckled and nodded.

"moose too" he smiled. "Now let's watch this movie"
