- Brooklyn, New York -"you so pretty, Mama!" i smiled nuzzling my nose against serenity's making her giggle and kick her feet. "almost a month already" i sighed staring down at her.
it was the best thing having a daughter but everytime i look at her.. all i see is pop.
which is hard because it just reminds me that he's still in a coma..sekani turns 1 in two weeks..
i want him here to see our baby blow his candles out.
"mommy?" i jumped snapping out of my thoughts and looked up. "mommy why you crying?" Amiri questioned walking towards me.
"sorry baby.. i didn't know i was-"
"Jay go for a walk or something, babe" Xi came in the room with sekani in her arms. "i got them. go and relax. you know you need it"
"I'm fine.. really Xi. plus can you handle all three of them?"
"Jonathan is downstairs so he's watching them with me. go take yourself out or something, jay. we got them"
"Maybe i'll take serenity.. she hasn't seen pop since the night of the shooting.." she nodded as i stood up. "thank you" she waved me off and side hugged me.
"no problem, girl. go take a break" i noddeda d sighed grabbing serenity's diaper bag before heading out the room.
-
"are you sure this is okay..? like will that mess with his health?" i asked the nurse as i watched as serenity laid on pops chest, instantly closing her eyes and heading to sleep.
"as long as she doesn't mess with the tubes or machines, it should be okay" i nodded. "I'm very sorry that he's still here"
"yea.. me too" i sighed. "thank you. she's been missing him a lot"
"daddy's girl huh?" i chuckled and nodded
"very much so" she laughed. "i'm janay" i put my hand out and she smiled.
"Cassidy" she shook my hand making me smile. "she looked just like him. beautiful daughter you both have"
