Alesa Romano

(Edited)After dinner, I retreated to my room, overflowing with happiness. Reuniting with Alexa, my twin sister, was a dream come true. I cherished my brothers and Alexa, willing to do anything for them.
Just 48 hours had passed since my arrival, yet my life transformed completely. I gained a loving family, replacing the emptiness and loneliness.
Though still adjusting, I felt grateful. Lorenzo, my favorite brother, intimidated me with his aura, but his kindness won me over.
Lost in thought, a knock on the door broke the silence. "Come in!" I exclaimed.
Alexa entered, her eyes sparkling. "Want to have a sleepover?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
I nodded enthusiastically.
Alexa bounced onto my bed, and our slumber party began.
We spent hours watching movies, teasing each other, and sharing secrets.
Alexa regaled me with stories of her school mischief.
I shared my experiences as a nerd, enduring bullying.
Together, we uncovered our past, laughter and tears mingling.
We clicked photos, capturing memories.
Alexa expertly applied makeup, transforming me.
We stalked her Instagram crush, giggling.
This night surpassed all others.
As 4 am approached, my room lay in disarray. Exhaustion conquered us. Snuggled under the blanket, arms entwined, we drifted off. Sleep wrapped us in its warm embrace.
The twin bond, once broken, now flourished. Tomorrow would bring new adventures. But tonight, love and laughter reigned.
As I drifted off, Alexa's whisper reached me.
"Alesa?"
"Yes?"
"I love you, twin."
"Love you too, Alexa."
In the silence, our hearts beat as one.
Lorenzo Romano
We gathered around the dining table, awaiting the twins' arrival. But as minutes ticked by, they didn't show up. Noah volunteered to check on them.
He returned after five minutes, a sly grin spreading across his face. "You guys need to see this," he said, beckoning us to follow.
Curiosity piqued, we trailed Noah to Alesa's room. The sight before us left us speechless.
Alexa and Alesa slept entwined, a tangled mess of arms and legs. Their peaceful faces and gentle smiles melted our hearts.
But the room itself told a different story. Clothes scattered everywhere, makeup strewn across the dresser, and the bedsheet half-hanging off the mattress.
"It looks like a tornado hit," Dylan chuckled.
Colton shook his head, laughing. "They must have had one heck of a sleepover."
Noah smiled, his eyes crinkling. "Let's let them sleep. They probably had a long night."
We quietly backed out, closing the door behind us.
Downstairs, we resumed breakfast, the twins' reunion dominating our conversation.
"I'm really happy to see them like that," Dylan said, spreading butter on his toast.
