(Edited)I woke up in my bed, disoriented. My mind struggled to recall how I ended up there. Memories slowly resurfaced, and I remembered Alex's gentle arms cradling me, his soothing voice whispering words of comfort. "I've got you, sleep well, bambina." A warm smile spread across my face as I relived the tender moment.
Glancing at the clock, I realized it was almost dinner time. My stomach growled in anticipation. A refreshing shower beckoned, promising to wash away the remnants of sleep. I headed to the washroom, eager to revitalize myself.
The cool water cascaded down, enveloping me in relaxation. My muscles released their tension, worries washing away with each droplet. Time lost all meaning as I stood there, basking in the tranquility. The cold shower was invigorating, rejuvenating my senses.
Afterward, I slipped into a cozy night suit, the soft fabric gentle caress against my skin. A matching top and shorts, perfect for a peaceful evening at home. I left my hair open, its gentle flow down my back a soothing reminder of my newfound serenity.
Feeling refreshed, I headed downstairs.
As I entered the living room, I was greeted by the warm glow of the TV and the soft hum of music. Alexa sat comfortably, her headphones wrapped around her ears, lost in the rhythm of her favorite songs. Beside her, Colton lounged on the couch, his eyes fixed on the screen.
I made my way towards them, settling into the space between. The cozy atmosphere enveloped me, and I felt my tension melt away.
Both Alexa and Colton had already changed into their pajamas, signaling a relaxing evening ahead. Alexa's bright pink sweatpants and matching hoodie contrasted with Colton's simple gray joggers and white tank top.
Colton turned his attention to me, a gentle smile on his face. "Feel refreshed?" he asked, his voice low and soothing.
I nodded, feeling grateful for the warmth and companionship surrounding me. "Yeah, much better."
The three of us sat in comfortable silence for a moment, the only sounds coming from the TV and Alexa's occasional humming along to her music.
As I gazed at Alexa, I couldn't help but admire her radiant beauty, even in her simple night suit. Sometimes, despite being twins, I felt overshadowed by her confidence and poise. But logically, I knew we shared the same features, our identical faces a mirror image.
Our distinct styles and hairstyles set us apart. My brown locks cascaded down my back, while Alexa's bold blonde hair framed her face. People often recognized us based on our dressing styles and hairstyles.
Seeking comfort, I leaned into Colton's side. He instinctively wrapped his arm around me, pulling me closer. Together, we watched TV, lost in our own thoughts.
The tranquility was broken when Dylan and Lorenzo walked in, tired from their day at work. We exchanged warm greetings, and they headed upstairs to freshen up.
Thirty minutes passed, and the maid's gentle voice summoned us to dinner. We filed into the dining area, eager for a delicious meal.
Lorenzo, Dylan, and Alex soon joined us, their faces refreshed from their showers.
Dinner concluded, and the evening chatter continued. I remained quiet, observing my family's dynamics.
Lorenzo's voice broke through the noise, "I need to talk to you both." His gaze locked onto me and Alexa.
We nodded in unison.
I waited patiently as Lorenzo and Alexa finished their dinner.
Once they were done, we followed Lorenzo to his home office.
