Alesa Romano
-----
(Edited)I walked into my room, washed my face, and decided to tackle my homework for the day. Sitting at my study table, I reviewed my assignments and realized I needed help with math.
Alexa wasn't an option; she struggled with math herself.
Searching for my brothers, I came up empty-handed.
I asked one of the maids about their whereabouts, and she informed me that only Lorenzo was home.
With no other choice, I hesitantly approached Lorenzo's office.
I knocked on the door, hearing a firm "Come in."
"Uhm, sorry to disturb you, but I need your help. No other brothers are home," I said.
Lorenzo looked up from his work, his expression softening.
"You don't have to say sorry, Alesa. What do you need help with?" he asked, gesturing for me to take a seat.
I sat across from his imposing office desk, placing my books on its polished surface.
"I need help with these," I said, pointing to the math problems.
Lorenzo grabbed the book and began explaining the concepts.
His patience and clarity made the complex equations understandable.
"Thank you for helping me," I said, genuinely grateful.
"I'm your brother, Alesa. You don't have to thank me," Lorenzo replied with a warm smile.
"If you need any more help, you can always come to me."
I nodded, preparing to leave.
"Get ready soon," Lorenzo said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Didn't Alexa tell you?" he inquired.
"What?" I pressed.
"Maybe she forgot. Anyway, since it's your and Alexa's first day of school, we're having a family dinner. Go get ready," Lorenzo explained.
Surprised, I nodded.
"A family dinner?" I repeated. Lorenzo nodded.
"I'll get ready," I said before leaving Lorenzo's office. Back in my room, I sat on my bed, sighing in relief. The day hadn't been as bad as I thought.
Making friends was a pleasant surprise. I thought about Alexa, how she'd sat with the popular crowd instead of me.
But it was alright; she deserved to have fun. I labeled myself a nerd, assuming that's why she chose to sit elsewhere.
Time for a bath; the long day had left me exhausted. We were going out for dinner, and I had no idea where. Dressing appropriately was crucial, considering we were the Romanos.
After my bath, I entered my closet, searching for the perfect outfit.
I settled on a simple yet elegant dress, styled my hair in a messy bun, and applied light lip gloss.
Downstairs, I found my brothers waiting - all except Alexa.
Alex offered a warm smile as I sat beside him. We waited patiently for Alexa, knowing she'd take her time. Soon, she descended the stairs, stunning in a black tube top, blue pants, and black boots.
Her hair cascaded down her back, and subtle makeup enhanced her features.
"Wow, Alexa, you look beautiful," Alex said.
A voice echoed "I agree, she does look beautiful" and I turned to see a guy resembling Xander.
But this wasn't Xander; his hair lacked blonde highlights.
"I'm Xavier," he introduced himself.
I mouthed an "oh" before responding, "I'm Alesa."
"I know," Xavier replied with a gentle smile.
Lorenzo interrupted, "You both look beautiful. Let's go, or we'll be late."
We nodded and departed.
The first car held Lorenzo, Xavier, Colton, and me. Alexa rode with Alex, Dylan, Noah, and Xander.
"Thanks for taking us out, Lorenzo," I said.
"You don't have to thank me, bambina. Welcome," Lorenzo replied, his smile catching me off guard.
Xavier asked about my favorite things, and I answered, finding him pleasant.
"We've arrived," Colton announced.
Xavier stepped out, followed by me. The five-star Romano Hotel took my breath away. Its grandeur and beauty stunned me.
"Is this yours?" I asked, turning to my brothers.
"Yes, it's ours," Colton replied.
"Your hotel is really beautiful," I said.
Xavier clarified, "Alesa, what's ours is yours. You also own this place."
Lorenzo nodded in agreement.
The rest of my brothers and Alexa joined us.
Inside, a man waited at the reception, stiffening at Lorenzo's presence.
"Welcome, Mr. Romanos and beautiful ladies," he said, smiling.
"Thank you," I replied, smiling back.
We followed Lorenzo into the hotel, eager for our family dinner.
