(Bonney's POV)

"Where is she?" Slipping out of my shoes, I expectantly looked at Marco.

Closing the door behind me, he nudged his head towards the bathroom.

"You should've called me sooner."

"I called you the second I found her crying-yoi."

Walking to the bathroom, I put my ear against the door and knocked on it. "Reena?"

Other than the shower running, I heard nothing. I knocked again, a little more urgently this time. "Reena?"

She still didn't answer, but this time I could hear her sniff. "I'm coming in." Jiggling the handle, I cracked the door open. Straightaway steam rushed out and blinded me.

Coughing, I waved a hand around, trying to clear my view. It took a second for my eyes to readjust, but when they did, my jaw dropped. Reena was fully clothed and sitting in the shower with the water on.

"Reena!" Fluidly, I dropped my coat and climbed into the shower with her, the hot water soaking my clothes. Sitting down in front of her, I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and pulled her into my chest.

Like a helpless lamb, she welcomed my embrace.

With soothing hushes, I ran my hand through her wet hair. "Shhh... It's going to be okay..."

She shook her head. "..."

I could sense that she had a mouthful of words, but her tears wouldn't let her even manage one. From over my shoulder, I shot Marco a look and mouthed, 'Nest. Couch.'.

His brows furrowed, clearly confused.

With more exaggeration, I mouthed my words again. 'Nest. Couch.'. But he still couldn't understand what I was trying to say.

With an agitated but silent sigh, I rolled my eyes and turned my focus back on Reena. "Come on, let's dry you off." Careful not to slip, I took her by the elbows and slowly stood her up. Sopping wet, we stepped out of the shower. I glanced at Marco while I wrapped a towel around her trembling frame. "And while we dry off, Marco will make a nest on the couch for you."

I could see in Marco's eyes that it finally clicked and he understood what I was mouthing to him.

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Right-yoi."

When he left to tend to things in the living room, Reena and I dried off and went to her room to change into pajamas.

After pulling on a pair of maroon shorts and white tank top, I sat down on the edge of her bed. I watched as she sluggishly put on a pair of grey sweats and a baggy black t-shirt.

"Is that one of Marco's shirts?"

"Hm?" Half dazed, she looked up at me and then down at the shirt. "Oh. No, it's Kid's. I was supposed to give it to Kaku to give it back to him... But..."

When I saw her swallow hard, I scoffed. "Forget him, Kaku's a jerk. I'll give Kid his shirt back."

She strained to smile, her lips thin.
