"So overall your answer will be..," I explain trying to get an answer out of him.
"It will be two," Cole says not very confidently.
"Very close Cole but it's negative two," I tell him rubbing his arm in comfort. Wow. His arm is so strong.
He sighs but looks at me and smiles. "Thank you Lyn for everything," he says.
"No problem Cole," I say smiling back.
"So Lyn um how are you and Bryce," he asks shifting uncomfortably.
"Oh, we're doing good how are you and Allison," I answer and ask back.
"We're good too,"
"Cool,"
"Did you just say cool," he asks teasing me.
"Shut up," I say rolling my eyes playfully.
He laughs and eyes me before tickling me.
"OH-MY-STOP-COLE," I manage to say through laughter.
"No, I'm good,"
"COLE--,"
He stops and stares into my eyes that's when I realized he was on top of me again.
Jesus.
"Have I ever told your eyes remind me of the beautiful blue skies," Cole tells me?
I look at him shocked at his words and that he remembered the words I had said the second time we had exchanged a conversation.
"Um no, you haven't but thank you for the compliment Cole," I tell him smiling and awkwardly moving up into a sitting position.
"Oh well they do," he says and then coughs awkwardly.
We sat in a now awkward silence before he broke it.
"So you and Bryce are a thing now I guess," he says.
"Yes, we've been dating for a couple of weeks now," I responded to him.
"Oh, well I'm happy for you, we should go on a double date sometime," he suggests. Autumn and I talk about how Cole and Allison had gotten back together after the last game. I saw it coming given that they dated for so long and love each very much.
"How about Saturday," I ask him.
"Sure,"
"Okay, cool,"
He laughs at the fact that I said cool again. Before he looks at me and then looks away.
"I should be heading home now," I tell him.
"Right, I will drive you home," he says before getting up.
As we drove through my neighborhood I couldn't help but think about Cole and me. And I know it's wrong because I have a boyfriend but it's just what would it be like if we were together. I looked at him as the wind goes through his hair it was like we were in a movie. He's so cute but he's not mine.
We made it to my house and as I was about to get out Cole decides to be a gentleman and opens the door for me and walks me to my house.
"Really Cole, you do not need to do that," I explain to him.
"But what if you get kidnapped on your way to the door,"
I turn away from him to make sure he doesn't see me blushing. I feel the butterflies in my tummy go wild I could help but laugh.
"Okay fine, you can walk me to my door," I finally say.
"Good," he says smiling.
I love this and I love him.
