|Madelyn|During the family dinner
"So Madelyn how was school," my mother asks me.
I look at her stopping myself from rolling my eyes.
"Good ma'am," I respond eating the steak Rose prepared for us.
"Diana did you hear that Jason got the promotion," my father tells my mother eating a green bean off of his plate.
"Well that's very good for him," she answers cutting her steak.
"How old is he maybe a wife would be good for him," she asks.
"He's 39 years old Diana too old for Madelyn and he's married I believe he has a son as well," my father responds.
I gagged on my food but by now I used to be set up by my parent's friend's sons.
"Well we will have to find someone more suitable for our Madelyn soon, " she explains sipping her white wine.
There goes my appetite to eat.
"May I please be excused," I ask my parents their heads snap in my direction.
"Yes you may but please take a shower tonight," my mother said sighing.
"Yes, ma'am goodnight,"
"Goodnight Madelyn,"
"Goodnight sweetie," my father said kissing my cheek.
I smile before running upstairs to bed.
Before going to bed after my shower I start to write my next letter to Cole.
I have a box that sits underneath my bed that holds all of my supplies for making letters and other writing projects.
Writing down my strong feelings for him makes me feel so much better. The anger I feel for my mother starts to float away as I write.
The memory of bumping into Cole fills my head I instantly smile at the thought.
My goodness, he's handsome.
How will you ever stop loving him?

I woke on Friday knowing that my parents would be long gone to work by now.
Knock Knock.
"Yes come in," I tell them.
"Good morning Lyn," Rose said holding my breakfast.
"Good morning Rose," I said as she gave me the tray and sat down.
"What are you doing today any special plans," Rosa asks me taking a piece of bacon from my tray.
"Nope just school and the bookstore," I say laughing a little.
I work at the local bookstore in town. Best job I can ever get.
"Oh okay, a normal day, I see, well your parents left this for you," Rose tells me giving me the letter.
"Thanks, Rose," I thank her.
Dear, Madelyn
Your father and I have to go out of town for work we will be back in two weeks. That Friday we are having very important people coming over so be presentable and ready for them.
We love you
Love, mom, and dad
Great the whole house to myself.
The whole two weeks to read my romance novels.
Yes, I'm a nerd.
I hopped out of my bed and ran into my bathroom to take a very quick shower before I got dressed.
Getting out of the shower I head to my closet that has more than enough clothes that my mother has brought for me. I pick a pair of light-washed jeans with a graphic T-shirt, I then put on mascara, and chapstick, before heading out the door.
"Bye Rose," I yell as I'm about to head out the front door.
"Bye Lyn, have a wonderful day," she yells back.
I headed out the door and walked to my beautiful white jeep wrangler that has a nice flower sticker on the back that I put there when I got very mad at my mother.
As I sit in my car drinking my coffee I looked at the clock.
Oh no.
I'm going to be late now. Great.

Lunch Time
Finally, it was lunchtime the best time of the day, I sat in my normal spot and began to read my novel. Looking down at my lunch tray I picked up my piece of cheese pizza don't judge I like the plainness of it.
I let my eyes look around the cafeteria so I could people-watch. People were very loud today it was annoying.
I decided to move to the library to read, I was already done with food. I throughout the trash that was on my tray into the garbage can before walking out.
The school's beautiful big library was filled with a lot of books it was like another home to me and I loved it.
I was on my way when I spotted a girl with fire-red hair that could never compare to my plain dark brown hair. She was looking down at what seemed to be her schedule which was different because it was already a month into school. She must be new, I had never seen her before and I'm a very observant person.
I am a very shy person but it did indeed look as if she needed help with something and I am always a nice person.
So I made the decision to help this girl I didn't even know.
"Hello pardon me but it looked like you needed help," I say to her politely.
Her big green eyes met my blue ones in shock.
"Oh um yeah thanks do you know where the library is, this school is so much bigger than my old one was," she tells me with a smile.
"I was just on my way let me show you," I answer her.
"Thanks, you talk so proper,"
"I know I was raised this way," I explain to her shaking my head lightly.
"Wow, strict parents I'm guessing," she asks.
"You have no idea," I say laughing a little.
She laughs too.
"I'm Autumn by the way," she finally tells me.
"I'm Madelyn,"
"Friends," I ask her with my hand out.
"Friends," she says shaking my hand.
I have a friend how splendid.
