13) Test Scores

I look up from my math book only to meet the most beautiful ocean-blue eyes. I laugh softly before looking back down again. Before a hand grabbed my chin pulling my eyes back to theirs. And then their lips met mine pulling me into a sweet kiss.

"Lyn," I finally realized it was Cole who I was kissing.

"Madelyn,"

"MADELYN,"

My eyes flew open as I shot up from my bed only to see Rose staring back at me. "I'm sorry for yelling Lyn but if you sleep anymore you will be late for school," Rose explains.

I rubbed my eyes trying to wake up more, " Oh it's alright Rose, thank you for waking me,"

"You're welcome I will leave you to get dressed now," she says before leaving me to an empty room.

Just a dream. Always is and always will be. 

I slip a nice pair of dark blue jeans with a light pink sweater. I grabbed my white converses as I headed out the door to my car. 

"Bye Rose," I yell before closing the door.

"Bye Lyn, have a good day at school," 

My mind sadly kept wandering back to my dream the whole drive. 

"Wait, so you really dreamed that he kissed you," Autumn asks.

"Yes, I did," I answered putting my face into my hands.

"Oh sweetie," she says putting her arm around me in comfort.

Ring. Ring.

"I will see you later," I say hugging her side before taking off to first class.

"Bye Maddie," she said winking.

After School.

I sat on the bleachers reading my romance novel as I waited for football practice to be over. Screaming filled my ears forcing me to look up from my novel sadly. The team was tackling each other before helping each other up laughing together. But what really gets my action is the pair of blue eyes looking right into mine. Cole smiles and waves right at me. I almost died right there, to be honest. I lightly wave back at him trying not to make a big fuss. Right as I was about to go back to my novel he made a goofy face making me laugh at him. 

He smiled looking like he accomplished something. I pulled out some headphones and plugged them into my phone. I put them in my ears and continued to read. A hand pulls my headphones out of my ears making me look up. Only to meet Cole holding his duffle bag all sweaty from practice. 

"All done," I ask him getting my things together.

"Yes, ma'am," 

I look up at him in shock at his manners.

"Oh now don't look too shocked," he says ruffling my hair.

"Hey," I say hitting his arm away.

"Let's go, we have a lot of studying to do for the test tomorrow," I tell him pushing him down the bleachers "Ew, you're very sweaty."

"Yeah I just had practice," he answers rolling his eyes.

"Okay, okay the first step, when we get to your house, is to take a shower because you smell disgusting," I say stepping in front of him as we continue to walk.
