These past two weeks have been amazing. I love having no parents to torment me every second of every day. But, today is Thursday which means they come home tomorrow one last day of freedom. Today is a pretty busy one for me, I had gotten an email from my mother to make sure I get a dress and fit it for tomorrow's dinner.
This means I can't work after school which is horrible for me.
"Hey Maddie," Autumn says to me linking arms as we walk down the hall together.
I've only known her for two weeks but she is pretty amazing. She definitely has a wild side which she is helping me find my own wild side which I believe I think I don't have in me. But she believes in me.
"Hey Red," I greet her with the nickname we agreed on.
"How are you on this fine day," she says mocking my proper words.
"It's busy and not funny," I said nudging her arm playfully.
"Okay but seriously why is it busy," she asks me laughing a little.
"I have to go dress shopping for the big fancy dinner tomorrow," I explain to her as we walk down the hall.
"You mean you get to try on beautiful dresses all afternoon," she says trying to hide her excitement in her voice.
Autumn likes that she is a tomboy but at times some things just get her to be so girly it's so interesting to watch and learn new things about her.
"Yeah, so why don't you join me," I ask her with a smug smile on my face.
"If it's not a hassle," she says trying so hard to hide her smile.
"It's not a hassle you could come, I need your advice," I say to her smiling.
"Oh my god yay," cough "I mean cool," she says playing it off.
I laugh before looking forward only to see him. The rumors are this week that he and Allison are having some problems which makes me sad because there is a chance he's sad. I was about to look away knowing that staring is rude but then it was like the universe was telling me something because our eyes met for the first time.
He smiled at me and did a little wave, of course, I waved back out of politeness and shock.
I must have died and gone to heaven.
Autumn's voice snaps me back into reality.
"Who's he," Autumn asks.
Oh no, what Autumn starts to like him, and then they fall in love.
My best friend and the love of my life. Worst nightmare.
"That's Cole Manor the captain of the football and the boyfriend of Allison Davidson captain of the cheerleading team," I explain to her. She shakes her head.
"What's the matter," I ask.
"I know Cole and Allison they were in my gym class very competitive but what I meant is the one in all black," she explains waving her hand in the air around us.
"Ah, Bryce Jasper he's the best friend of Cole, he's very dark and closed off," I answer her.
"Mhm,"
"Wait do you have feelings for Bryce," I ask.
"You can't have feelings for someone you don't know,"
"True but you could try and get to know him," I tell her.
"Yeah, I guess,"
Then the bell rang off to class.

After School
The school day was utterly boring, to be honest. I told Autumn to follow me back to my house so we could go shopping for a dress.
We ended up taking my car to save gas and to jam out together Autumn's words, not mine. Once we got there I started to walk to the bridal store I went to every time I needed a dress.
"Hello Rachel," I greet my dress fitter.
"Hello Miss Young I can see you brought someone with you do you need two dresses for today," she asks me.
"We do not, she is here for help and to try on," I explain to Rachel linking Autumn's arm in mine.
"Ah okay right this way we have some saved up for you," she says leading us to the back of the store.
"Wow you come here a lot I see," Autumn says.
"You have no idea," I say laughing.
"Here are some of our newer dresses that just came out," Rachel informs us.
"Thank you, Rachel, you may leave now," I state.
"Okay just press this button if you need anything water and wine are in the mini-fridge right there help yourself," she tells us before leaving, Rachel was always okay with me drinking in the store but most of the time I don't, not really my thing, she knows my mother so she knows what I have to deal with.
"Wine, don't mind if I do," Autumn says.
I laugh at her actions.

We ended up trying so many dresses it was honestly the best time I have ever had trying on dresses.
Autumn ended up picking out a beautiful violet color dress for my dinner tomorrow night. Apparently, a couple of hours of dress shopping can make a girl very hungry, so we went to Chick-fil-A for some much-needed food.
"Hey, Red I have a question," I ask her eating my nuggets.
"Yeah,"
"Would you like to spend the night at my house," I ask.
"Sure I would love to,"
"Perfect,"
My first-ever sleepover, don't judge now.
Tonight I'm going to tell her about my secret, I trust her.
"The brightness of my day doesn't depend on the amount of sunshine. Everything depends on his smile."
